Sridevi tied the knot with an already-married man, Boney Kapoor in 1996 and broke many stereotypes. Together, they welcomed two beautiful daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor into their lives.
It was on February 24, 2018, when Sridevi left for her heavenly abode after she passed away due to an accidental drowning in a hotel's bathtub in Dubai. In one of the segments of the video, Janhvi Kapoor revealed that the house was renovated in memory of her late mother, Sridevi after her death in 2018. Mentioning that her family spends a lot of time together remembering her at this house, Janhvi recalled one of her fond memories. She shared that her mom would never let her lock the bathroom door as she was scared that her daughter would talk to boys inside. She said:
“A thing I love about this house, apart from the memories, is that it has so much of the old, but also a little bit of the new us. Little things like, in the bathroom in my room, the door doesn’t have a lock because I remember mom refused to put a lock as she was so scared that I would go into the bathroom and talk to boys. So, I was not allowed to have a lock on my bathroom. Now the entire room’s done up… but my bathroom still doesn’t have a lock.”
