Even though marriage is not on the cards in near future for Kapoors’ darling princess, Janhvi Kapoor, she surely has her dreams set about how it is going to happen. Yes, Janhvi is no different from other young girls who have a set plan for their wedding on their minds.
In an interview with Brides Today, when Janhvi was asked where she would like to get married, the Dhadak fame actress replied, "I remember when I went to Florence, which was a few years ago, I said that I want to get married there. It's still Florence.” Florence is the capital of Italy’s Tuscany region. Does Tuscany sounds familiar to you? Yes, it is the same place where Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli had their intimate dreamy destination wedding. Elaborating on what she would like to wear on her dream wedding, Janhvi went on to say, “I want to get married in a Kanjeevaram sari with all gold zari."
Janhvi recently featured on the cover of Brides Today and looked too ethereal. She donned a red lehenga with golden embroidery and frilled choli, and her fashionista look is absolute drool-worthy. With her first Bollywood release, Dhadak, magazine cover photoshoots and signing up another big movie project, 2018 has been a busy year for Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter, Janhvi, in terms of her professional life. Janhvi Kapoor went through a tough phase when her mother, Sridevi Kapoor passed away in February 2018. While it is every mother’s dream to see her daughter getting successful in her career and getting married, Sridevi couldn’t get a chance to witness either. In fact, in a throwback interview, Sridevi had said that she would be happy to see Janhvi's marriage. She stated, “She wanted to do the film and initially, I wasn’t in favour. I don’t think it’s a bad industry. I am a creation of this world. But, as a parent, it would give me greater joy to see her married. But her happiness matters more, and if she does well as an actress, I will be a proud mother.”
People misunderstood Sridevi’s statement and started questioning her take if marriage is the ultimate goal of women. But Bollywood’s Chandni took to Twitter and cleared the air with her tweet, "My comment was misunderstood and it really concerns me that it's sounding like I believe girls are only meant to get married and settle down. That's not what I want for my daughters, I want them to be able to stand on the own feet and have their own identity. I've always told them never to be dependent on anyone in any capacity."
She was further quoted as saying, "It's very important to me that young girls understand that the end goal of their life is not to have babies and they have every right to make something of themselves. What I meant to say initially was that I would prefer if my daughters didn't lead the kind of hectic life that comes with this business and instead, have a relatively stable and relaxing life. But they are ambitious, and I have come to respect that like every parent should, and that respect overshadows my protective parental instincts now."
