A celebrity’s life is just like an open book, even though they want to hide certain pages of it, but being a public figure, they are hardly able to do so. And the one millennial celebrity, whose dating rumours have been hitting the headlines is none other than Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of Boney Kapoor and late actress, Sridevi. Although Janhvi had made her acting debut in 2018 with Dharma Production’s Dhadak, she had come into the limelight much before her debut, courtesy her star family. When Janhvi Kapoor had first made her entry into the showbiz world, it was alleged that she was in a relationship with the son of a business giant, Abhijit Rajan (Chairman and Managing Director of Gammon India Limited), Akshat Rajan. To celebrate the success of Dhadak, her rumoured ‘boyfriend’ had customised a ‘D’-shaped flower bouquet and had presented it to his rumoured ‘girlfriend’ Janhvi. The actress had posted an Instagram story on the same with the words, “Subtlety is not his thing” written atop of it.
A new track titled Nadiyon Paar, from Janhvi’s upcoming film, Roohi was released a few hours back. The gorgeous actress took to her IG handle and shared a small glimpse of the song, in which she was seen flaunting her effortless dance moves. As soon as Janhvi posted the clip of the song, comments from her friends and colleagues started pouring in. But the one comment that caught our attention was from her rumoured ex-boyfriend, Akshat Rajan as he wrote, “Okayyyyy” with fire emoticons.
Before the release of her debut film, Dhadak, Janhvi and Akshat’s dating rumours had emerged in the media and their social media feeds had added fuel to the fire. But soon after her debut movie, she was linked up with her co-star, Ishaan Khatter and the rumours had shifted from Janhvi-Akshat to Janhvi-Ishaan. However, Janhvi and Akshat’s social media PDAs and their Instagram feeds still continue to tell a different story about their friendship/relationship. In January 2020, Janhvi had shared pictures with Akshat on her Insta stories. She was spotted spending quality time with Akshat at Lonavala and had indulged in some authentic Indian food at a dhaba. Rumours of Janhvi Kapoor and Akshat Ranjan’s relationship had come into limelight when on her birthday on March 6, 2018, Akshat had posted a beautiful picture of them where they were all decked up with skyscrapers in the background. He had captioned the picture as “happy birthday” followed with a heart emoji. To which the Ghost Stories star had replied with an “ily” comment which is an abbreviation of ‘I Love You’.
In an interview with the Famously Filmfare, Janhvi Kapoor had talked about the rumours of her and Akshat Ranjan’s dating and had said, “The rumour mongers have also said that I am dating my childhood best friend called Akshat, who’s so scared to hang out with me now because he is too scared that we will be papped together. So that day, he came home for dad’s birthday and there were paps downstairs at Arjun bhaiyya‘s house, and he was hiding in a khopcha, put on a hoodie and all, and left. I was like, it’s okay."
