Taking to their X handle (formerly known as Twitter), Film Companion announced their next panel discussion with Janhvi Kapoor, wherein the actress will be talking about her bold choices and slightly disrupted career in Bollywood. For the unversed, after making her debut in 2018, Janhvi has been a part of a few films which failed to make a big mark in the box-office. Moreover, she often gets helmed on the headlines for the backlash she faces on a daily basis, be it about her personal choice or her style statements.

While many fans of Janhvi are quite excited to hear her unfiltered opinions, it seems that the actress has left a significant number of netizens unimpressed. Taking to Reddit, a user shared a screengrab of the announcement post and people started to express their viewpoints on the comment section. Well, a massive number of users slammed Janhvi for her apparent attempts at self-promotion, despite the fact that she is a star-kid and got her debut pre-arranged. Moreover, others took a dig at Janhvi for downgrading Indian actresses at large.
For the unversed, much like Janhvi, her sibling, Khushi has also stepped into the film world and will be making her debut soon with the film, The Archies. Interestingly, even Jahnvi’s father and filmmaker, Boney Kapoor made his debut as an actor in the film, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. In an earlier interview with News18, Janhvi Kapoor talked about this very change in family dynamics and shared how the dinner table conversations between the three of them changed overnight. In her words:
“Yeah, but the discussion mostly is now about dates in terms of oh, where am I on this day? Okay, so, you are there. Maybe we will get two days in between to spend time together. It’s mostly about dates and schedules.”

In one of her previous interviews with Galatta Plus, Janhvi Kapoor walked down the memory lane and recalled giving her first shot while shooting her debut film, Dhadak in 2018. The diva shared being really nervous as her mother, Sridevi was there with her during her first shot and added that her mother hid behind a tree with fashion designer, Manish Malhotra and watched her working.
