A kind of similar sweet and salty relationship is shared between Bollywood director, Boney Kapoor, and his two kids, Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor. While we all know Arjun is the first-born son of Boney and his first wife, Mona Shourie Kapoor, Janhvi is the first-born daughter of the producer and late legendary second wife, Sridevi. And apart from sharing the same father, the two had also shared the same fate of losing their mothers just before their debut films. But it is the love of their father and to help him get back in life, the kids united and became the reason for Boney's big smile.
Today (June 16, 2019), on the occasion of Father's Day, Janvhi and Arjun took to their respective Instagram handles and shared the cutest wish for their daddy cool. Arjun posted a picture of his father, and along with it, he wrote, "To the coolest Kapoor in our family. The original big daddy. I love movies because I saw them through his eyes. A family man, a true friend and a complete man’s man.. someone who puts others above himself always.. Happy Father’s Day dad.. stay happy, hip & cool!" On the other hand, Janhvi posted a series of pictures with her father, Boney. She captioned it as, "To the strongest, wisest, kindest man I know- Happy Fathers Day. Sridevi's sudden death had left the entire Kapoor family broken but it had also united the whole family. In an interview, Boney had stated, "I am blessed to have these four. They love each other a lot and I am glad that they have come together. It was due to happen anytime, it just happened when something unfortunate happened. He had further stated, "I give credit to all four, but yes, more to Arjun because he is the eldest. He flew into Dubai to be with me. Anshula was in Mumbai with Janhvi and Khushi. They have happened through two different mothers but why should they get affected? They need their father now, and I am going to be around them."
In an interview with The Times of India, Arjun had talked about the times when he became the man of the family and supported his father. He had said, "I am happy that I followed my instinct. I have no regrets. But I would never wish such a thing to happen to even my worst enemy. I wish it hadn't come to that thing for us to react towards each other."
He had also revealed his feelings, "Even my mom would have wanted it this way, and not that I was doing a heroic act. My mom loved my father; she would have wanted me to be around my father in that moment of crisis, she would have wanted his near and dear ones to be near him. I know how it feels. I have seen it myself. It's not easy, my back is already broken. There is a sense of vacuum in me that only Anshula fills."
