Jana Nayagan Faces Backlash As Netizens Spot AI Logo In Film's Trailer, 'Such A Rookie Mistake..'

Famous Pan-India superstar, Thalapathy Vijay is all set with his final film, Jana Nayagan, as per reports. The film is a remake of the Telugu film Bhagvanth Kesari, and it stars Balakrishna in the lead. The film is going to be available in three languages: Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Recently, the trailer of the film was released, but it received major backlash as netiznes noticed an AI logo in the clip.

Netizens react to Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan trailer

The trailer of Vijay's upcoming film, Jana Nayagan, was released on January 4, 2025. However, people were left shocked when they noticed a major error as the editor forgot to remove an AI watermark in one of the scenes of Jana Nayagan. In the clip, Vijay is portraying the role of a cop who is seeking vengeance. In one of the scenes of the trailers, someone is shown with a shotgun. Soon, netizens noticed a Google Gemini logo in several screen recordings shared by users on X, previously known as Twitter.

However, it is worth mentioning that the logo does not exist in the trailer anymore. But by the time it was rectified, netizens had taken to social media to express their fury. Netizens called out the usage of AI in movies as an 'insult' to the creative process. Taking to X, users expressed their opinions. One user wrote, "Using Gemini AI for remake movie too." Another one commented, "Such a rookie mistake team of #JanaNayaganTrailer. Who is the editor, lmfao?"

A third user penned, "400-crore budget, but what is this, man?" Another tweet can be read as, "This is unacceptable. This shouldn’t be the norm. AI doesn’t belong in movies, and it’s important to call out people who use it in mainstream media." One user wrote, “W** man it's his last film, ain't it supposed to be grand."

Vijay Thalapathy's film, Jana Nayagan, is all set to hit the theatres on January 9, 2025, just before the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti and Pongal, which is on January 14, 2025. The film is directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions. The ensemble cast also includes Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Narain, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, and more. Talking about the trailer, it showed Thalapathy's swag, action, and his amazing acting. The H Vinoth directorial has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The trailer also showed Thalapathy Vijay's some solid action scenes and visuals that make the audience jump in excitement. 

It is worth mentioning that Thalapathy Vijay talked about his last film, Jana Nayagan. He talked about his journey and said:

"When I entered the cinema, I thought I was building a small sand house here. But you all have built me a palace. Fans helped me build a fort... That's why I've decided to stand for them. For the fans who gave up everything for me, I'm giving up cinema itself."
