Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon fame, Aabhaas Mehta is over the moon as he is all set to enter a new phase of his life. The actor is soon going to bid adieu to his bachelorhood and tie the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Zeenia Wadia. For the unversed, the lovebirds met for the first time on sets of serial, IPKKND and eventually fell in love with each other. And now, Aabhaas and Zeenia are all set to take their 11 years of relationship to a notch higher by getting married on October 1, 2023.
In an interview with ETimes, Aabhaas Mehta opened up about his wedding with his long-time girlfriend, Zeenia Wadia. Talking about the same, the actor mentioned that they were waiting for the right time to take their relationship a step ahead. Adding that the waiting period actually strengthened their relationship, Aabhaas said:
"We were certain about getting married when the time was right. The waiting period has strengthened our bond. We've had our share of ups and downs, but we stood by each other, and that's what truly counts."

Further, in the same conversation, Aabhaas revealed that he and his girlfriend, Zeenia will have a registered marriage. Elaborating more about it, he said that they wanted to honour both faiths. For the unversed, Aabhaas is a Punjabi, while Zeenia belongs to a Parsi family. Talking more about it, he said:
"That was our first point of discussion. We were clear from the beginning that we would honour both faiths and do our best to keep it intimate. What matters most to us is that we are finally starting a new life together regardless of how it's done, as long as it's done."
Aabhaas also shared details of his wedding and stated that the pre-wedding ceremonies will be simple and intimate. The actor added that his and Zeenia's family will celebrate the haldi and mehendi ceremony, which will be attended by his friends from IPKKND as well. In his words:
"We've kept the ceremonies simple, intending to enjoy these moments with our close ones. There will be haldi and mehendi ceremonies. Everyone is excited and looking forward to the coming together of two cultures. Families and friends will be present to add a festive vibe to the celebration.

Further, Aabhaas also talked about his relationship with Zeenia. Talking about the same, he revealed that they met while working on IPKKND, where his girlfriend was handling the public relations. The actor added that he took the initiative in their relationship and proposed to Zeenia.
For the unversed, on September 29, 2023, Aabhaas and Zeenia dropped a hint about their wedding. Taking to their respective IG handles, the duo dropped a mushy picture in a collaborative post. In the priceless picture, the lovebirds could be seen posing happily for the camera. Sharing the picture, Zeenia penned a short note, which could be read as:
"Taking some big decisions together."
