Everyone’s favourite television actor and Just Mohabbat fame, Vatsal Sheth had tied the knot with Drishyam fame, Ishita Dutta in an intimate wedding on November 28, 2017, at the ISKCON Temple in Mumbai. However, the happily married couple never skips a chance to make everyone fall in love with their romantic camaraderie through their cutesy PDAs and mushy social media posts.
However, not everyone is aware that Ishita Dutta and her husband, Vatsal Sheth had worked together in the hit serial, Rishton Ka Saudagar – Baazigar. Although Vatsal and Ishita had signed a no-dating clause in their contract during the show, they had become very good friends. After the serial had ended, the good friends had started meeting each other, and soon they had transformed into lovebirds as the Cupid had struck them, and the rest is history.
In an interview with ETimes, Ishita Dutta opened up about her happy married life and recalled the time when her then-boyfriend-now-husband, Vatsal Sheth had proposed to her for marriage. Surprisingly, the actress revealed that she had got shocked and had taken a pause after Vatsal proposed to her. Citing the reason behind her surprising decision, Ishita stated that thinking about getting married was a bit early for her at that time because she hadn’t given it a thought back then. However, Ishita also admitted that it was the same moment that had convinced her to spend her whole life with Vatsal. Explaining the same, she said:
"The moment was when he asked me if I wanted to get married to him. Honestly, we had never discussed where our relationship was headed or what was going to happen. We had just started dating. He popped the question to me very early in our relationship. I hadn’t even given a proper thought to it. I was actually in shock when he asked. I took a moment to answer and that was the moment when I realised I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.”
Going further in the interview, Ishita Dutta also talked about their dinner date when Vatsal Sheth had popped the question to her. Calling it a casual outing, the doting wife revealed that she didn’t even had a mere clue about the fact that Vatsal was planning to propose to her. Recalling the same day, Ishita stated:
"We were just having a casual dinner. After dinner, we were just chit-chatting. Suddenly Vatsal popped the question. There was no going down on the knees. It was very normal. But that question made that normal dinner date very special. Everything just changed after that day.”
At the end of the interview, Ishita Dutta was asked whether she had fallen in love with her husband, Vatsal Sheth, when she had glanced at him or it was a brewing tale of love that took its own sweet time. Answering this, Ishita admitted that her love story with Vatsal had kickstarted with friendship. She explained:
"With Vatsal, it was definitely not love at first sight. We were just friends. I liked him as a person when we first met. That is how our relationship as friends grew. We kept in touch with each other even after our show got over. Soon we realised that we sort of liked each other. That was a very simple love story, nothing different or unique. Within six months, we got married. I cannot pinpoint when the love exactly blossomed between us. I think it was a gradual process.”
