Shahid Kapoor is currently ruling the screens with his phenomenal performance in his latest release, Kabir Singh. The plot of the film has created a mini-stir but Shahid’s character is undeniable sketchy and we can only trust an actor like Shahid to pull off such an emotionally exhausting role. In its day 5 of release, the film will touch the Rs 100 crore and is considerably doing better than many other big shot films released this year. And so, it is a complete celebration mode at the Kapoor household. Mira Rajput Kapoor recently took to her Instagram story and posted a video of Shahid Kapoor and his brother, Ishaan Khatter doing bhangra as they celebrate Kabir Singh’s success their own way. And now, Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother, Ishaan Khatter took to Instagram and posted a heartfelt open letter about what he feels for the success of his film, Kabir Singh and how Shahid is, as a person. He wrote, “As happy as can be for my big brother today who’s always been a shining example of a human being for me. Not a doubt in the world that you deserve the smashing success but it continues to baffle me how you were able to play one of the most complex, lost and damaged characters with such perfection while returning home to being the most centered, loving and responsible family man I know. Thank you for showing me what it means to be a responsible son, father, husband and brother always AND for knocking me out with your performance in and as #KabirSingh. Shahid Kapoor is riding high on the pillion of his professional success. On May 15, 2019, Shahid Kapoor had unveiled his first-ever wax statue in Singapore. Ever since Shahid had posted a picture of himself with the wax statue, we all had been eyeing on a super-proud Mira Rajput Kapoor to post something about her superstar hubby, Shahid Kapoor’s big achievement. And so, she had shared a picture of herself, donned a black gown, holding the arm of her ‘wax hubby’, while her ‘flesh hubby’ held hers! Sharing the picture, Mira had written, “Taking mine home but left one for you Madam”. Coming back to Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor had shared in an interview with the Mid-Day that he would never want to become Kabir. He had stated, “Kabir Singh is a phase in everyone’s life. We all {become} self-destructive when we feel like we’ve fallen apart. {One may feel} empathy for him because, in all his misgivings, he is vulnerable. It’s a cathartic journey of a man, and a cautionary tale. In an interview with The Indian Express, Shahid Kapoor was asked to comment about his performance on his first-ever remake. He had shared, “I don’t think I can comment on my performance. But I score it high when it comes to difficulty. This is my first remake, so there is already a film to compare my work with. It is a thin line between making it too different that it looks like a totally different film, and make it like the original one.”
