Isha Ambani’s fashion game has now catapulted to another level with the latest addition of her pictures from Met Gala 2019. The fashion event happening at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art witnessed Isha Ambani donning a Prabal Gurung label which happens to be a lilac gown with feather motifs all over her outfit. Looking drop-dead gorgeous, Isha Ambani ornamented herself with minimal makeup, diamond necklace and rings. Prabal Gurung had teased us with an Instagram post last night by sharing the following picture of Isha Ambani’s gown, captioning it as, “A lilac love story for a cherished muse. Guess who will capture the carpet in this number? #pgworld #pgmuse #metgala #femininitywithabite #strongerIncolour #modernglamour #metcamp.”
Isha Ambani’s Met Gala 2019 designer, Prabal Gurung shared with the Vogue magazine that he wanted to celebrate the essence of who Isha is. The reputed designer was quoted as saying, “We’ve been working on this together for many months. With the camp theme, we wanted to celebrate the exuberance and essence of who Isha is. We chose to highlight her spirit through the glamorous silhouette and the intricacies of the hand embroidered feathers and beadwork. In keeping with the theme, we had a vision of Isha in a magical, dreamlike state and looked to the work of Degas’ ballet dancers, evoking an ethereal and romantic quality where the power of her femininity is heightened. We took a couture approach and played with the proportion of her skirt.”
Prabal Gurung also shared that Isha Ambani’s friend and mentor, Priyanka Chopra Jonas also gave her valuable inputs during the making of Isha’s gown. Prabal revealed, “We started conceptualising the look in the winter and began the fitting process a couple of months ago. We had three fittings in India, where we made tweaks to the colour, fabric, and overall fit, and had a final fitting in our New York Atelier on Saturday. Priyanka Chopra stopped by for that one and we all had a collaborative conversation on styling the accessories, hair and makeup to elevate the camp look.”
Isha Ambani became Isha Ambani Piramal when she walked down the aisle with Anand Piramal on December 12, 2018, in Mumbai. Talking to the Vogue about her wedding day, Isha had recently shared, “The wedding went off beautifully. Like any other bride, I had my share of bridal jitters but getting married at home made it very special and I had the time of my life celebrating my most memorable moments with all the people I love. During the wedding my mom was CEO and I was chairperson. She and dad did all the hard work.”
Isha Ambani was also asked if her life has changed post-marriage. She had revealed that at both her families- the Ambanis and Piramals, the work ethics are the same, “I don’t think his life has changed, and neither has mine. At this stage, work is a priority for both of us. And luckily, our parents understand that. Fortunately, the family I was born into and the family I married into have the same work ethic—every member of both families knows the importance of work.” (Also Read: Sara Khan Confirms She Is In Love With Ankit Gera, Shares An Adorable Pic, Calls Him 'Forever Mine')
