The plotline of I Will Find You

For those who haven't binged watched the Netflix showI Will Find You follows the story of 'David Burroughs', whose life turns upside down after the death of his son, 'Matthew'. Is a sequel to I Will Find You on the cards?

A while ago, the author of the novel, Harlan Coben sat down for an interview, during which he spoke about the possibility of returning with a Season 2 of I Will Find You. Addressing the same, he revealed that he has no plans for a sequel. Harlan also stated that over the years he has collaborated with Netflix multiple times, but never planned a sequel. Sharing his thoughts, Harlan Coben was quoted as saying:

"Probably not. Whenever I do [a show] — I think this is my 13th series with Netflix — it's always with the intention of never writing these characters again. It's all out on the table. It's not fair to ask people to watch eight episodes of a series and wait two years for Season 2, so everything is kind of answered."

However, it is worth mentioning that Harlan Coben did not completely shut down the chances of a sequel. He explained that even though the chances of I Will Find You Season 2 are less, he wouldn’t mind making it if he is able to think of a good and gripping storyline. Further, he revealed that after some time, he would love to sit with a group of people and talk about the future of the characters in the thriller show. In his words:

"I never say never. If we somehow came up with a storyline that would be as good as this one for these characters, I would tell it, but I don't think we're going to, and I'm not going to push it. I'd rather do a new story. I wouldn't mind, at some point, gathering some people who have seen the whole show and saying, 'Tell me what happens for the next year, where a year from now are these characters?' and hearing their answers. I think the audience is going to hope for the best."
