Her last post before death featured moments from her big day. Kauana shared glimpses of what her and her partner, Barbara Abrantes' engagement ceremony looked like. On June 26, 2026, just weeks before her tragic demise, she shared a carousel featuring a large bouquet of red roses with the letters 'K' and 'B' and a heart made of white flowers.
The gorgeous floral arrangement was ordered to celebrate Kauana and Barbara's engagement. One of the videos included the engagement rings in pretty maroon boxes placed over the bouquet, accompanied by their cat. In the caption of the post, Kauana mentioned how badly she wanted a British Shorthair cat and thanked her partner, Barbara Abrantes for fulfilling her wish. According to Kauana, her partner mended her broken heart by getting her the cat. Thanking her, she wrote:
"Some dreams carry a story behind them. You know how much I wished I had a British Shorthair and how much my heart was broken when I tried to achieve that dream and ended up getting [scammed]...you, with all your love and care, turned a sad memory into one of the greatest joys of my life."
Kauana also expressed gratitude to Barbara for being there for her and for believing in her dreams. She mentioned being reminded of Barbara's love and warmth every time she saw their cat. Sharing how much joy the furry friend brought in her life and expressing her love for Barbara, the late influencer wrote:
"It's been a while since he arrived, and every day next to him reminds me of you, your affection and how beautifully you take care of my dreams. He brought even more joy to my days, but what warms my heart the most is knowing that you made it all possible. Thank you for believing in my dreams when I was already afraid to believe. I'm completely fulfilled, happy and even more in love with @barbarabrantess."
