Sony TV recently dropped a teaser from the Republic Day special episode. In the teaser, Pahalgam attack victim Shubhan Dwivedi's widow, Aishanya Dwivedi, was seen being emotional. She thanked the Indian army for taking revenge on 26 widows who lost their husbands during that horrific attack. She said that it was only two months after her wedding to Shubham that he was killed. Who was Shubhan Dwivedi, and how was he killed?

Shubhan Dwivedi was one of the men who were killed in the 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam. He was 31 years old and resided in the Chakeri area of Kanpur and worked for a cement company. Shubham got married to Aishanya back in February 2025, two months before the attack claimed his life. The couple was out for their trip to Jammu and Kashmir on April 17, 2025. Not only them, but also some of their family members were with the duo during the trip, and they were all set to return on April 23, 2025. But before they could come back, the tragic incident claimed Shubham's life. He was shot during an attack in Pahalgam's Baisaran Valley when he and his wife went to the left to go horse riding when the incident occurred.

In an interview with ANI, Shubhan Dwivedi's father recounted the entire incident and revealed that while they were with his son and daughter-in-law, they didn't go upwards, which needed horses to travel. Shubham's father revealed that his son, daughter-in-law and others went upwards in the place, which is known as 'mini-Switzerland'.

However, when Shubham and his wife were having snacks, some terrorists approached them, asked if he was Hindu or Muslim, and when he said he was a Hindu, he was shot dead in that place. When Aishanya asked the terrorists to shoot her as well, they said they won't do the same and asked her to take the message to Narendra Modi. Following this, several other people were killed, and at least 20 were injured.
