Ishant Sharma is one of the most prominent cricketers in the Indian cricket team. The talented right-arm, fast-medium bowler had joined the Indian cricket team as an 18 year old lad, and has gone up to establishing himself as the recipient of the prestigious Arjuna Award in 2020. In his personal life, Ishant is married to Pratima Singh, who is a national-level basketball player by profession. And recently, the duo announced the happiest news of their lives as they hopped onto a new chapter together.
Taking to his IG handle on November 3, 2023, Ishant Sharma, in a collaborative post with wifey, Pratima Singh dropped a cute little picture post. The duo announced getting promoted as parents with the arrival of their baby girl. The picture note featured a small baby chime, atop which ‘It is a baby girl’ is written in pink fonts. The picture also had a note, which read as:
“A new baby marks the beginnings of all things- wonder, hope and a beautiful dream of possibilities. Pratima and I are delighted to announce the arrival of our baby girl.”

Moreover, along with the post, the happy parents also penned a joint caption, wherein they expressed their happiness to welcome a new member into their family. Calling their daughter’s arrival ‘dreams wrapped in pink’, the prolific player-duo penned:
“A new baby girl, a world of wonder, hope, and dreams all wrapped in pink. We’re overjoyed to introduce the newest member of our family.”
Back on September 26, 2023, Pratima Singh dropped a clip on her IG handle, that captured the couple’s various moments during their grand baby shower ceremony. As the clip progressed, we caught a glimpse of the stunning décor for the event, which was filled with colourful balloons and ambient lighting for décor. For the special day, the then mommy-to-be, Pratima donned a black dress, which featured a white-hued embroidered net coverall. She opted for minimal makeup, and kept her tresses open, as she wore a ‘Mommy-to-be’ sash. Ishant, on the other hand, twinned with his wifey in a white shirt and grey pants.

In several other clips of the video, we see the duo cutting a white-hued two-tiered cake as they posed with their family and friends. Moreover, we also caught a sneak peek into some cute-looking, baby-themed goodies that were laid on the table, and oh-boy, the glimpses were unmissable. Along with the clip, Pratima penned a long note, as she expressed her gratitude to her friends for organising a dreamy baby shower ceremony. An excerpt of it can be read as:
"This date has become a very very Special day of my life. Thank you akanksha for organising this wonderful surprise baby shower for me. I don’t know how you and ishant managed to keep it a surprise from me."
