Ileana had made our hearts flutter with her long-distance relationship with Andrew. The world thought that they are each other's soulmate, so much so that their marriage rumours made a loud noise all over the Tinseltown. They were one of those perfect fairytale couples, but destiny had other plans and the two parted their ways, leaving everyone in shock.
Recently, in an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, Ileana finally opened up breaking up with Andrew. She shared that instead of being depressed, she is trying to fight the circumstances and has come out stronger. Instead of relying on people, the actress is trying to find happiness in her own little things. She confessed that she was so depressed after the breakup that she had to go to a therapist, who advised her to accept compliments, and so, she has accepted herself and doing well. Ileana further shared that falling in love is one of the fantastic feelings but staying in love is a whole different thing. Hence, she is not ready to fall in love again as she is happy where she is in her life. The Barfi actress also stated that her breakup has taught her many things, and said, "It is always a learning experience. I never wanted to come out bitter or someone with any animosity. It has left me stronger. Shit happens, but life goes on. The way I dealt with the entire thing comes with respect and love for the other person. I don’t curse or think anything bad about him. I am in a good place and I wish all good things for him."
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Ileana had opened up about her relationship, and had said, "Initially, I was told to not speak about my relationship. And while I don’t have an issue talking about it, it’s unfair that people are being unnecessarily harsh to him (Andrew). It is unfair to subject him to harsh comments just because I am a celebrity. He is entitled to his privacy and respect and he deserves both in equal measure. He is a great person, and it did affect me when people left harsh comments on my social media posts. But I do give it back to nasty trolls."
In a 2018 interview with the IANS, Ileana had revealed that her alleged, husband, Andrew helped her fight her mental condition, and had stated, "Things had got so bad that I was pushing people away. I didn't realise how much I was alienating people. I would constantly refuse to go out when friends would call. At one point, I didn't realise I was at home for a week... After that, I got an ultimatum from him. Now I don't look at life where I'd say: 'Oh gosh, my life's over if I don't have films any more'. My approach is that there's so much more for me to do... It (depression) really was in a way god sent... That depression and that phase in my life, as horrible as it was, was needed in a way to switch things back and change who I was as a person."
