He had earned a loyal fan following thanks to his vibrant stage presence and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community. News reports revealed that he died on September 7, 2026, after sharing a concerning farewell message on Instagram.
Hunter Hardin's bright personality used to reflect in all his performances
Hunter had made a separate place for himself in the adult content creation industry. He was also a popular burlesque performer who went by the stage name, LuLu LoveBottom. As a performer, he used to add glamour and emotional storytelling to his theatrics. Needless to say, his performances made him a popular figure in queer entertainment circles.

Anyone who knew Hunter described him as someone who could immediately lift a room. His performances showed confidence, humor, and vulnerability. It made people connect with him and also helped him to explore themes of identity, self-acceptance, and transformation. In turn, Hunter supported others to do the same.
Outside the spotlight, Hunter was known to have a warm and generous personality. When the news about his death surfaced on the internet, fans could not help but share their memories of him online. They mentioned how he made them feel welcomed, valued, and understood.
Incidentally, Hunter Hardin did not set out with the dream of becoming a performer. Rather, he had a different life as a former high school football player and athlete. Hunter also revealed in an interview that sports helped him deal with some of the most difficult moments in his life.
Earlier this year, he explained that the dramatic world enabled him to bring out his masculinity and femininity together. In fact, the shift from athletics to performance helped him accept his identity and connect with audiences. He revealed in an interview that he was living with depression, which made him feel emotions more deeply. Sharing his experience, he had told Outsports:
“It allows me to identify my femininity with my masculinity. There’s a lot of musculature to what I do. I’m oiled up, but I let myself express my femininity as well. It feels authentic and reflects the journey I saw for myself when I was younger. I’ve dealt with a lot of depression in my life, and sports was relief from that. The gym, practice, I’ll always be a fan because of that."
What did Hunter Hardin say in his final message?
Hunter Hardin died by suicide, but before that, he penned and shared a farewell message with his fans on Instagram. The post had left fans concerned and doubtful about his well-being. Hunter apologized to everyone in his final message and penned:
"I love you, and I'm sorry I was unable to make it to the end. Goodbye forever. Love, LuLu. Been hurt for the last time by someone I shared my heart with."

Later, his close friend and fellow performer, Asura, confirmed his death. They revealed that Hunter's roommates found him and alerted the emergency services. However, they were unable to revive him. In his words:
"Hey everyone- Lulu’s best friend here. His roommates broke down his door and called paramedics but unfortunately it was far too late to resuscitate him. Lulu has sadly passed away and I’m so truly sorry to anyone that knew him.”
