Eventually, their investigation reportedly uncovered that she was still legally married to her former husband. The news stunned Aaron, who mentioned that she had told him that she had been divorced for more than a decade. Sharing how he would never get entangled with a married woman, he said:
"We would've never spoken if I knew she was married. I'm not the type of person who messes with married women. She kept telling me she was divorced for 10-plus years."
Since Margarita's previous marriage was never officially dissolved, her wedding ceremony with Aaron was legally invalid. As a result, she was later unable to make any medical decisions for him. Quinton also shared that their relationship was already struggling before his stroke. Recalling the same, he said:
"We weren't in a good space. [There were] many arguments, accusations, and lies. I'd been praying for God to remove her from my life because I felt like I was stuck. I was done a long time ago. So I feel like if this was the final nail in the coffin, so to speak, the thing that had to happen to finally separate us, I was OK with it. I still [have] my life."
The whole physical toll of the stroke and the shock of his relationship was painful for Quinton. But now he feels that it was part of a larger journey for personal growth. He is focused on rebuilding his strength after being paralyzed from the waist down. At the same time, the actor is determined to return to acting, directing, and public speaking in the near future. He is positive that he will soon walk again.
