Spencer Pratt recently suffered a big loss after losing the chance to run in the Los Angeles mayor election, scheduled for November 2026. Notably, Spencer lost to his rival, Nithya Raman, who was leading the race as she started at 3,000, and it slowly increased to more than 21,000. Nithya will compete in the mayor’s race against Karen Bass. On the other hand, Spencer was supported by some popular figures such as President Donald Trump, Joe Rogan, and others before he lost his opportunity.

Spencer was initially expecting a victory, and he even claimed at that time that the LA officials had given them three weeks for counting, considering that many votes were left to count. Heidi Montag has shared a social media post in support of her husband

Spencer Pratt’s defeat in the LA Mayor race was predicted a few days before the counting ended. Notably, Spencer’s decision to participate in the election emerged from the Los Angeles wildfires in 2025, which destroyed the house where he used to live with his wife, Heidi Montag. The pair has been married since 2008 and has two children.

The counting process was lengthy, and before Spencer’s defeat was confirmed, he was spotted questioning whether the counting was over, as he shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) on June 11, 2026. Heidi has now reacted to her husband’s defeat in a new post shared on the same platform on June 15, 2026. The singer showcased her support for her better half in a small statement, which can be read:

“I couldn’t love my husband more and be more proud of him. What an inspiration, what a hero.”

Heidi was also supported by a lot of people in the replies, where certain individuals wrote that Spencer was the real mayor of Los Angeles. As of this writing, Spencer Pratt has not responded to the post shared by his wife.

Spencer Pratt is planning to file a lawsuit against Karen Bass

As mentioned, Karen Bass will face Nithya Raman in the upcoming LA Mayor election in November 2026. Notably, Karen has been in the headlines for the last few weeks after Spencer filed a lawsuit against her in May 2026, claiming that she did not follow the election rules. Karen had responded to Spencer at that time on X (formerly Twitter), claiming that he was “mad” because his supporters were AI people.

The matter has taken a new turn now as Spencer Pratt is planning to file another lawsuit against Karen Bass. Spencer confirmed the same on social media on June 14, 2026, stating that he had joined hands with Karen’s brother, alleging that Karen displayed negligence, which destroyed their houses in the Los Angeles fire. He also wrote in the same post:

“I hope their Thanksgiving dinner isn’t too awks. I know ours hasn’t been the same since last year.”
