The actress, who has made a name for herself after her debut film, Dhadak, is celebrating her 23rd birthday today. However, the actress has revealed that she misses her mother, Sridevi to the core of her heart on her special day. Janhvi Kapoor is already winning the hearts of a lot of people because of her humble attitude in most of her interviews and media interactions. Now, in her recent interview with the Mumbai Mirror, the actress has revealed that she misses the things her mother used to do for her with the little help from her father, Boney Kapoor on her birthday. She said, “They would decorate my room with balloons and make everything feel special, be it the conversations on the couch or the cake-cutting. Mom would make me feel pampered. Dad does it every day even now.” The actress also took to her Instagram handle and has posted some beautiful pictures and has captioned it with a small caption remembering her mother that can be read as “Wish u were here.” Take a look! In the same interview, while going further, Janhvi Kapoor has also revealed that she’s not a huge fan of materialistic things as all she wants is to spend quality time with her family and friends. She said, “A few years ago, some friends took me to Alibaug. There was lots of cake, while one friend recited a poem for me. It was the first time I was out of town for an entire day.” This isn’t the first time, when Janhvi had talked about her mother, Sridevi and the void she feels after her passing.
While talking to the Vogue in an interview taken by Karan Johar, she had revealed her last words to Sridevi before she left for Dubai, where she had passed away, "Of course. I could always be the baby with her. When I’d wake up, the first thing I’d do was ask for her. I’d need her to put me to sleep sometimes and she had to feed me. The day before she left for the wedding, I had to shoot, but I couldn’t sleep, so I was like, “I need you to come and put me to sleep.” But she was packing, so by the time she came to me I was half asleep. But I could feel her patting my head.”
Janhvi Kapoor had also written a long post expressing her feelings and emotions following her mother, Sridevi’s demise. The emotional tribute could be read as, “There is a gnawing hollowness in my chest that I know I’ll have to learn how to live with. Even with all this emptiness, I still feel your love. I feel you protecting me from sadness and pain. Every time I close my eyes, I only have good things to remember. I know it’s you doing that. You were a blessing in all our lives, we were blessed to have had you for as long as we did. But you weren’t meant for this world. You were too good, too pure, too full of love.
