Vishal Chaturvedi's recent film, Hanuman Ansh, has been making headlines as it continues to surprise everyone at the box office. The spiritual drama was released on August 7, 2026, and has since crossed the Rs. 50 crore mark. The film marks one of the year's silent successes, especially in the spiritual film category, proving that people are not just interested in becoming devotees but also intrigued by the story behind it.
Amid the intrigue and excitement around Hanuman Ansh, the film's director, Vishal Chaturvedi, has confirmed that the story of Neem Karoli Baba is not yet finished. The filmmaker has left the audience with a clear hint that the team will be back with a sequel for the tale of Neem Karoli Baba. However, that has also raised curiosity around what part 2 of the film will entail.

What to expect from Hanuman Ansh sequel?
During a recent interaction with audiences at a multiplex in Agra, Vishal Chaturvedi, who helmed Hanuman Ansh, spoke about plans for the sequel. While interacting with viewers, he revealed that the upcoming instalment will explore important chapters of Neem Karoli Baba's life. The filmmaker said the story will focus on his birthplace, Firozabad, before moving to Agra, Mathura and other locations associated with his life and spiritual journey.
However, the sequel didn't materialise as part of Hanuman Ansh's success; in fact, the makers had already decided to make the other parts of the film when it was released. When the film was officially announced on February 20, 2026, it was revealed that the project was planned as a trilogy. The spiritual saga is inspired by Divine Detour, a book written by Vishal Chaturvedi. Actor Shobhinaw Satyaa essays the role of Neem Karoli Baba in Hanuman Ansh.
Neem Karoli Baba has several ashrams across India, with his best-known ashram being situated in the Kumaon hills. The complex called Kainchi Dham is located about 17 km from Nainital and was established in 1964. It has been visited by several big names, who alleged to have found guidance upon visiting the ashram. Talking about Hanuman Ansh, the film had a slow start at the box office, collecting only Rs. 10 lakh.

In its first two weeks, the film collected just Rs. 1.40 crore. However, positive word of mouth worked in its favour in the third week, when the film collected Rs. 10.40 crore. The fourth week saw a major turnaround in its box-office numbers. The film recorded its highest single-day collection of Rs. 12.75 crore on day 24 and surpassed Yash's Toxic on day 26 with a Rs. 8.50 crore single-day collection. So far, the film has collected Rs. 54.74 crore net in India and continues to attract audiences to theatres.
