Govinda Confessed Crush For Madhuri Dixit, 'Sunita Nahi Hoti Toh Maine Dore Madhuri Pe Daale Hote'

His wife, Sunita Ahuja, has been openly discussing the actor’s extra-marital affair with an aspiring actress, Komal Rani Swarnkar. Govinda refuted Sunita’s claims multiple times and even requested her to refrain from defaming him. However, in the past, Govinda was popular for openly confessing his love for his co-stars, and one of them was Madhuri Dixit.
Govinda once confessed his love for Madhuri Dixit
Govinda made his acting debut with the 1986 film Ilzaam and starred with Madhuri Dixit in films like Paap Ka Ant and Izzatdaar. She even made a special appearance in Govinda's hit film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Madhuri and Govinda’s chemistry in the song, Mere Pyaar Ka Rass is still loved by his fans.
In a new interview with Bollywood Bubble, when Govinda and his wife, Sunita, were asked about the actor’s best on-screen pairing, both named Madhuri Dixit. In the same interaction, Govinda confessed his crush on Madhuri and also revealed that he would have flirted with Madhuri had it not been for his wife, Sunita. In his words:
“And Rekha Ji. Kitne saal ka career hai ye logon ka, ek problem nahi hai. Aur kaisi sundar hai ye log, jo andar se sundar hota hai uski sundarta kabhi khatam nahi hoti. Aap dekhiye ye log waisi hi hai jaise aai thi. Sunita nahi hoti toh pakka maine dore Madhuri ji pe daale hote.”
Govinda once openly spoke about his attraction towards Divya Bharti
During the making of Shola Aur Shabnam, there were rumours about Divya and Govinda’s relationship, as it was reported that the actor had fallen for her charms. In a throwback interview with Stardust, Govinda talked about his fondness for Divya. During that time, he was still married to Sunita.
Not only did he praise Divya, but he also spoke about the possibility of his second marriage to her. Speaking about the same, he shared:
“Divya is a very sensuous girl. It's difficult for a man to resist her. I know Sunita is going to be very upset with all this. But she should know that I am still resisting Divya's charms. I haven't given in to the temptation as yet. Tomorrow, who knows, I may get involved again, and then, maybe I will marry the girl I get involved with. But Sunita should be prepared for it.”
Now, Govinda’s name is being linked to Komal Rani Swarnkar. She is an aspiring actress all set to make her debut alongside Govinda in the film Roopa. The actor was spotted with Komal at the Mumbai airport. His wife, Sunita, too, has taken a jibe at him and Komal many times. After his airport appearance, when a pap asked Sunita about the same, she said:
“Beti ki umar ki ladki ko leke ghum raha hai, sharam toh aana chaiye thodha isko. Aur standard toh hona chaiye. Tumhara sugar daddy itna ameer hai, kapde toh dhang ke pehno. Hum log ko dekho kya style mein chalte hain. Very bad, he’s lost his mind."
Govinda, too, returned it to Sunita and revealed that she was leaving no stone unturned in maligning his reputation. He also accused her of not letting him work with young artists and requested her to stay within her limits.
