Govinda 'Mercilessly' Compared Sunita Ahuja To Neelam Kothari, Said He Lost His Heart To The Latter

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been making headlines for a long time now. The duo got married and welcomed their two kids. Well, since the last few weeks, speculations were rife that Govinda and Sunita Ahuja were facing some issues in their marital life, and they opted for divorce. Later, the couple denied all the speculations around. And it most recently happened that the buzz about Govinda having an affair with multiple women hit the headlines, and the actor came forward to reveal that it's only a part of a conspiracy against him.

Govinda revealed how he mercilessly compared Sunita Ahuja with Neelam Kothari

Amid this going on, Neelam Kothari talked about her equation with Govinda. For the unversed, Govinda had a liking for Neelam, and it was growing so intense that he even went on to call off his engagement with Sunita Ahuja. Ultimately, Govinda got married to Sunita, and in a recent interview, Neelam revealed that she never had any relationship with Govinda.

Well, there was a time when Govinda was so into Neelam that he would ask his wife to be like her, and it ended up hurting his fiancée's feelings. He once talked about the same in an interview. In a 1990s interview, Govinda said that he was praising Neelam to everybody, and he couldn't stop doing the same. 

In the old interview, Govinda mentioned that he was merciless and would tell Sunita to be like Neelam Kothari. To this, Sunita was hurt, and she replied that he shouldn't even try to change her because he fell in love with her for the kind of human being she is. Govinda said that he was confused and didn't know what to own. He went on to add that he had no plans to be serious with Sunita, and he never planned the same, and most of the moves were calculated. Speaking more about the same, Govinda shared:

"I couldn't stop praising her (Neelam). To my friends, to my family. Even to Sunita, to whom I was committed. I would tell Sunita to change herself and become like Neelam. I would tell her to learn from her. I was merciless. Sunita would get irritated. She would tell me, 'You fell in love with me because of what I am, don't ever try to change me'. But I was so confused. I didn't know what to own. Neelam is the kind of woman any man would have lost his heart to. I lost mine. At that point in time, I met Sunita. I admit that my involvement with her was a totally calculated move on my part. And I paid a heavy price for it."

In an interview with Stardust, Govinda talked about his feelings for Neelam. He revealed that he and Neelam had made several movies together. The more he got to know the actress, the more he started to feel something, and he felt that she was the kind of woman any man would lose his heart to, and he did the same. Govinda stated that he broke up with Sunita and called off his engagement with her. Speaking more about this, Govinda revealed that if Sunita hadn't called him and coaxed him into this again, he would probably be married to Neelam.

Recently, Neelam Kothari sat down for an interview with Usha Kakade Production on a podcast, where she discussed her relationship with Govinda. Neelam said that it's not true and she was never in a relationship with the actor. She shared that Govinda is a wonderful human being, while adding that they have done several hit films together, but the speculation about their relationship is not true, and there was nothing between them.
