Following the visit, Govinda broke his silence and spoke about the rumours swirling about him and Rani.
Govinda addressed his affair rumours with Rani Swarnkar
In an interview with ANI, Govinda addressed the noise around his affair with Rani Swarnkar. The actor said it is not anyone’s fault and was a planned move to distance himself from his family. Speaking about the same, he said:
“It is not anyone’s fault. This is a very strategically planned move. Things are going to happen more. It was a part of the plan to distance me from my family and then tarnish my image in society. I never focused on anything other than my work. I kept working. Many would praise me."
Going further, Govinda also addressed his recent visit to Lalbaugcha Raja with Rani. The Hero No. 1 revealed that he visited Lalbaugcha Raja to pray for his upcoming film and that it was not the first time he had visited a temple with an actress. Sharing his thoughts on his recent outing, Govinda said:
“This is not a subject for anyone… even if there is an affair. I went to Lalbaugcha to pray for my film Roopa. Earlier, I visited temples with Karisma Kapoor, and it turned out to be good luck for me. I also went with Raveena Tandon and now with Rani Swarnkar. I prayed as I am starting it again after a long time. I don’t know what is the problem.”

Soon after the videos of Govinda and Rani Swarnkar visiting Lalbaugcha Raja went viral, many people reacted to the same. Amid the tension, Kashmera Shah, who is married to Govinda’s nephew, Krushna, shared a cryptic post and urged people to stop glorifying 'homebreakers'. Not just this, in her sharp jibe, Kashmera also pointed out idolising men who leave their faithful wives for younger women.
Not just Kashmera; Govinda’s wife, Sunita, also reacted to his visit. Sunita was spotted at the Mumbai airport when paps asked her to comment on the Lalbaugcha Raja incident. Soon, she pointed towards the fur baby in her hand and said humans are not worthy of trust, and no matter how much love we shower on them, they are bound to cheat. She then looked at her pet and said that they are much more loyal than humans.
Sunita has given subtle hints about Govinda’s alleged relationship with a woman named Komal. However, rumours of their alleged relationship started after Govinda and Komal were spotted together at the Mumbai airport. After his airport appearance with Komal, a paparazzi asked Sunita about her reaction to the viral video, and she said, “Vinash Kale Viprit Buddhi.”
Soon after, Govinda reacted to Sunita’s comment and said she is leaving no stone unturned to malign him and his reputation in the industry. Govinda accused his wife, Sunita Ahuja, of getting in the way of his work and said he had missed out on opportunities because of her.
