Erinn mentioned that he had turned 19 the day before and that they had moved him to college the previous week. She admitted there had been many tears and is also feeling happy, proud, and excited for him. Goldie also added that she could not love him more and that she was already counting the days until she could hug him and annoy him again.

Goldie Hawn became a grandmother in 2004, and now she has eight grandchildren. Her first grandchild, Ryder Russell Robinson, was born January 7, 2004, to Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson. His middle name honors his great-grandfather Russell Hawn, and Kurt Russell said in 2007 that his grandson was an absolute delight.
After graduating from NYU in May 2026, Ryder had a small role in his mom's Netflix series Running Point, and his father said in February 2026 that he was leaning more toward acting, but was also a very good singer and guitar player who loved music, and that he could not be more proud of him.
Kate's second son, Bingham Hawn Bellamy, arrived on July 9, 2011, to her and then-fiancé Matt Bellamy. His first name nods to great-grandfather Bing Russell and his middle name honors Goldie Hawn. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell first met in 1968 on Disney's The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band. Notably, Russell was 16, and Goldie was 21, a dancer at the time. He thought she was adorable, but nothing romantic happened for years. The real start came in 1983 when they were cast together in Swing Shift. Both were divorced and raising their kids.
The duo eventually agreed to just have fun together for as long as it worked. The pair built a life around their log-cabin ranch in Colorado and welcomed son Wyatt in July 1986. More than 40 years later, they have still never married. They now split their time between LA, Palm Desert, Colorado, and New York as grandparents to eight.
