Gautami Kapoor is well known in the telly world for playing the lead role in the television drama, Ghar Ek Mandir. She is married to her co-star from the same show, Ram Kapoor and they are parents to two kids, Sia and Aks. The couple had welcomed their first child on June 12, 2006, while their baby boy was born on January 12, 2009.

Gautami had once told the media that she has always tried to become more of a friend to her kids, rather than being a parent. On June 12, 2021, Gautami Kapoor took to her IG handle to share a lovely picture, wishing Sia on her birthday. Alongside the post, the actress wrote, “My best buddy , Daughter, philosopher and guide….. I look upto for all your sincerity , honesty and love…. May you always stay this happy and blessed… wishing you a very happy bday sia !!! Lots of love.”
On this post, Gautami’s friends from the industry, extended birthday wishes for Sia by dropping messages in the comments section. Samita Bangaria wrote, “Happy birthday”, while actress, Anjum Fakih commented, “Happy Birthday gorgeous... Love and hugs.” Sia reacted to her mother’s post by penning down a sweet thankyou note.

In an earlier chit-chat with the media, Gautami had spoken about how her kids listen to their father, Ram Kapoor more than what they listen to her. She had revealed that Ram is a strict father, whereas she likes to be the lenient one.
