On April 15, 2020, co-stars-turned-soulmates, Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta had embraced parenthood for the first time and were visited by the stork with their little angel. In an interview with The Times of India, Gautam had revealed that his daughter was born around 4 pm in a Khar-based hospital. He had elaborated, “We stay at Juhu and the hospital is in Khar. We drove alone in the car amidst the lockdown and safely reached the hospital. I am happy that everything is safe and good, especially when the country is going through a lockdown.”
To announce the best news of her life, Smriti Khanna had shared a family picture with the newbie parents looking at each other with smiles on their faces and the 29-year-old star holding her baby girl in her arms. Smriti had captioned her post as "Our princess has arrived 15.04.2020." The elated father, Gautam too, took to his Instagram handle to post a picture, adoring his baby girl as she sleeps in his arms. Gautam wrote, “Daddy’s bundle of joy!” To which, Smriti commented, “My lifelines” followed by a heart.
Two days before Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta became parents, the latter had celebrated his 32nd birthday. Smriti had posted a video comprised of her cherishable memories with Gautam and in the caption, she had written how she is waiting to share parenthood with him. Smriti’s caption can be read as “Happy birthday to my most precious gem, the light of my world and my forever love. If I did anything right in my life it was when I gave my heart to you. Of all years this is the one we should celebrate the most. Sure it might not be the kind of birthday you would have wished for, spending it in quarantine, but it is one we will remember. One that we will not take for granted. I’m so grateful that your love is mine and our lives are woven together and I feel incredibly blessed to be your wife. I love doing life with you and can’t wait to share parenthood with you now. To which, Gautam had replied, "Thank you sexy. These memories are the best gift on my birthday today. Made me relive all these moments of love. And don’t rob my birthday gift. That’s my gift to you."
Amidst the ongoing coronavirus scare, Smriti Khanna had penned down an emotional note for her then-to-be born baby, wherein she had asked her little one to hang inside her tummy for a little longer as the outside world has gone crazy. Her note can be read as “Dear baby, just hang in there for a few more days. The world outside is going crazy! I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know that you’re so strong already and you’ll be born into a world which is learning a whole new way of living, which isn’t a bad thing. Also know that you’re celebrated each day. Every kick, roll and movement within is noticed and adored. I hope you’re feeling all the love. I feel for other mamas who are in this situation - a pregnancy full of uncertainty and added anxiety.
