Shah Rukh Khan is definitely the king of romance but the woman who rules his heart is none other than his queen, Gauri Khan. Shah Rukh was just 18 when he had fallen head-over-heels in love with Gauri Chibber. His love for Gauri made him follow her to Mumbai, even without knowing her whereabouts.
As they say, if love is true, there is nothing that is impossible. It was only after a very frantic search that Shah Rukh found Gauri at a beach. After a lot of ups and downs, Shah Rukh and Gauri got married in 1991. Together they are parents to three adorable kids, Aryan, Suhana and AbRam.
Shah Rukh Khan’s wife, Gauri Khan graced Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan season 1. In one of the segments, the star wife talked about her irritation when someone asks her about her reaction if Shah Rukh finds another woman. When the host, Karan Johar asked the same question to Gauri, she had responded:
“Firstly I get irritated with this thought only when someone asks me this question. I always pray to god that if he finds someone, I also get find someone better and who is good looking also.”
A few years back, there were faint rumours of something brewing between Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra. The duo got along really well while shooting for Don and Don 2 and were even spotted spending alone time, by many. Shah Rukh’s wife, Gauri Khan was not at all happy with her hubby’s conduct and rumours have it that King Khan was strictly warned by his wife to never be seen together in public with Priyanka.
We all know, how films play an important role in Shah Rukh’s life, in many media interactions, king Khan had gone on record and stated that if ever he is asked to make a choice between his career and Gauri, he'll leave films for her.
In an old interview, where Shah Rukh and Gauri had graced the talk show, Rendezvous With Simi Garewal in the year 1997, the couple had talked about the initial days of their relationship. When Gauri was asked whether Shah Rukh has always been protective, she had replied that his protectiveness was more of possessiveness. She had stated:
“It was possessiveness. It has turned to protectiveness. He was disgustingly possessive, he was sick. He wouldn’t let me wear a white shirt because he thought that it was transparent. It was a kink in the mind, I think.”
