Popular television actor, Gaurav Chopraa is going through an inexpressible pain as he had lost his parents due to COVID-19 in a span of 10-days. It's hard to express the pain, he's feeling right now because as we all know that no one can ever shower love on us like our parents do. Also, no one will ever be able to fill the void that they leave behind in ourlives, once they've left gone for the heavenly abode. In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, popular television actor, Gaurav Chopraa was asked about the way he's dealing with the supreme loss of his parents in a span of 10 days. On which, the emotional actor revealed that his mother was a big fighter and was fighting against cancer from the past three-and-a-half years, but it was COVID-19 that had defeated her. He said, "My mother was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer three-and-a-half years ago. The doctors gave her just four-six months, but the brave lady, who'd been a school principal, defied all the odds and was singing, dancing, travelling and celebrating every festival. Cancer couldn't beat her, the coronavirus did. For the first time, I saw her undying spirit dented."
On August 20, 2020, Gaurav Chopraa had taken to his Instagram handle and had informed everyone that his mother had passed away. The doting son had posted three beautiful pictures of his late mother and had penned down his entire thoughts in the caption. The long note could be read as "My mommy strongest !! The first picture is from a year ago. Three years of cancer-fighting of the worst kind, three years of non-stop chemo: and she was bucking us up! Always the brightest spot of energy in the room. Always. The beauty that did not need any kind of accentuation. It stood out .loved by all, to the point of seeming like her fans."
Going further in his note, he had revealed how his mother had inspired him throughout his life. He had added, "She was inspired so many..as a teacher, as a principal, as a colleague, as a friend, as a human being pursuing spiritual growth over everything else. I can go on and on .about a million things. She introduced me to everything in life: my strength..my source. #MeriMaa was the strongest. She left us yesterday. While the actor was already in pieces, his father, Swatantra Chopra had also left him exactly after 10 days of his mother's demise. On August 31, 2020, Gaurav Chopraa had taken to his Instagram handle and had shared the news of his father's demise due to COVID-19. The actor had shared four unseen pictures of his father from the memory lane along with a long note, and it could be read as "Shri Swatantra Chopra My Hero. My idol. My inspiration. Will I ever manage to be a millionth of a man that he was? Don't think so. The ideal man, the ideal son, the ideal brother, a man who always put family above EVERYTHING else. An ideal father ...it took me 25 years to even come to terms with the fact that all fathers are not like him.. That he was special." Gaurav also called his father a celebrity and added, "I was blessed..and as his son, that's the legacy I have inherited...loved and respected so so much more than I ever will be..a celebrity in its true terms."
