Gaurav Khanna's Wife, Akanksha Reacts To Not Being Mother Or Supportive Of Husband's Career Claims

Gaurav Khanna lifted the trophy of Bigg Boss 19, but his journey was far from easy. He was judged and scrutinised throughout the show for putting up a fake calm attitude. Not only this, his wife, Akanksha Chamola was criticised for not being a supportive wife, and they even questioned her choice of not having a baby. She finally reacted to the same.

Recently, in an interview with MaleFeminist, Akanksha Chamola also talked about being criticised and assumptions about not having children or supporting her husband. She shared that she was judged for not giving her husband children. Akanksha further added that it is her decision and she doesn't want to give any excuse to anyone. She was quoted as saying:

"I have always been okay with the fact that throughout my husband's journey in the Bigg Boss, I have been misunderstood. People were thinking I am not a supportive wife, because I am not giving him kids and he wants to be a father. I am not being a mother. Whether I want to be a mother or not, it's my decision. Then there are assumptions, oh, she doesn't want to lose her figure. And so what, my point is I am not agreeing on anything, but you don't need to know my justification or logic or accuse for not being a mother. I am not asking you, 'Tum kyo bacha laana chahte ho.'"

Akanksha Chamola also revealed that after marriage, she didn't take up work for five years. When asked why, she shared that she was chilling in life. When a role came, her husband told her not to take it up as it wasn't good, and she agreed. Later, when she got another role, the budget wasn't good as per him, so she denied it. Akanksha also talked about divorce buzz and stated that it was right there since they got to know that she didn't want to have a child. She added that people don't know boundaries.

Akanksha and Gaurav have been married for more than nine years. However, the two chose not to have children. However, inside Bigg Boss 19 house, Gaurav expressed his wish of having children but stated that his wife doesn't want the same. When Akanksha appeared in the Bigg Boss 19 house during the family week, she discussed her decision of not having children anytime soon. She talked about the pressure and labels she has faced. She stated that it is a big decision, which she needs time for, and she cannot think of having kids in the future as well. Akanksha was quoted as saying:

"I am not scared of it. Baccha paida karna halwa banana nahi hota hai. Bohot badi responsibility hai. Mujhe nahi lagta hai main wo job ko utne ache se justify kar sakti hoon - at this age, at any age. Mujhe apna career banana hai, mere ambitions hain bohot saare, ab log usko selfish bole."
