After months of speculations, Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar had finally accepted their relationship and had made it Insta official. It was on December 1, 2020, when Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar had finally revealed the date of their marriage with the pictures from their pre-wedding shoot. Zaid and Gauahar’s official statement could be read as “The year 2020 has been anything but ordinary and our love story through it all has been nothing short of extraordinary! It gives us immense joy to announce that we are tying the knot and embarking on a journey of forever. Keeping the current scenario in mind, we will be celebrating the big day with our family in an intimate ceremony. Gauahar Khan’s first Amazon show, Tandav is all set to hit the web in the month of January 2021. The actress also shared a teaser of her upcoming show on her IG handle. Now, the actress’ husband-to-be, Zaid Darbar has cheered her as he is excited not only for the show, but also for the wedding. Sharing a still from the teaser on his IG stories, Zaid wrote, “So excited for your first Amazon show.. Many more to come Inshallah” and expressing his excitement for their wedding, he added “And this beautiful is going to marry me in 8 days @Gauaharkhan” atop it. Reposting Zaid’s story, Gauahar shared that it is only 7 days to their wedding. She wrote, “Even lesser handsome, 7 days! @Zaid_Darbar” atop it.
When Gauahar Khan had returned from her stint in the reality show, Bigg Boss 14, Zaid had given her a warm welcome. After her stint in the show, Gauahar had posted a dapper selfie flaunting her black shades and had written, "Finally, in a world where I'm allowed to wear sunglasses! Hehehhehehe guess who's back? One week ahead of their wedding, Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar had released their pre-wedding video, in which the to-be married couple could be seen dancing on the song, Just You And I by Tom Walker. For the pre-wedding shoot, Gauahar had picked a Mrunalini Rao ensemble which was a multi-coloured lehenga in raw silk with a mustard blouse and fully hand-embellished koti. Zaid had complemented her in a golden long kurta and white pyjamas with a red printed bandhgala jacket.
