Action thriller Gandhari is currently the talk of the town. For the unversed, the film premiered today, September 3, 2026, on Netflix. The film stars Taapsee Pannu as 'Bani', Ishwak Singh as 'Gokul', Chhaya Kadam as 'Uma Didi', Swastika Mukherjee as 'Churni Didi', and Mita Vashisht as 'Jhunu Amba'. The story of Gandhari is about a mother who loses her daughter at a busy train station and turns the world upside down to find her. Amid the buzz, here's how the film ends.

Plotline of Gandhari (Spoilers ahead)

The story of Gandhari follows 'Bani', a loving mother. She, along with her husband, 'Gokul', and their young daughter, 'Mishty', boards a train bound for Gomvati to celebrate a holiday. Everything was going well until the train stopped at Joypurra station. 'Mishty' goes missing at this station, and as 'Bani' spots the kidnapper, she runs behind only to temporarily lose sight.

'Bani' and 'Gokul' file a complaint with the local police station but receive no help. As the couple searches for their beloved daughter, 'Mishty', they meet 'Churni Didi', the head of Shishukal Shelter Home, a local establishment that helps children in need. As time passes, 'Bani' meets 'Jhunu Amba', her former mentor. A flashback reveals that 'Bani' was a stunt performer in her childhood, trained by 'Amba'.

Joypurra is home to a community of street performers called Bahurupis. Members of the local gang Blackhole often disguise themselves as Bahurupis to escape arrest. 'Bani' and her husband, 'Gokul', learn that Blackhole might be responsible for 'Mishty's' kidnapping. As advised by 'Jhunu Amba', 'Bani' and 'Gokul' settle down in Joypurra until 'Mishty' is found. 'Bani' starts working as a physical education instructor at a local school, and 'Gokul' takes a job at a toll booth.

'Uma Didi', a local repair service professional, also helps 'Bani' and 'Gokul' in finding 'Mishty'. Despite regaining most of her vision, 'Bani' pretends that she is still blind so that she can investigate her daughter’s case discreetly. She trains in physical combat with 'Jhunu Amba's' help. As 'Bani' goes deeper into the case, she learns that the gang carries out dangerous operations. They kidnap kids and then get the dead bodies of other children only to disfigure them so they look like the kidnapped children.

Then the gang uses these bodies to convince the family of the kidnapped children that they are dead. 'Bani' gets to know that the leader of Blackhole is 'Dada Bhai'. However, things get messy when 'Bani' learns that Uma and 'Churni' are all part of the Blackhole network and are secretly working for 'Dada Bhai'. 'Bani' learns that her mentor, 'Jhunu Amba', also made a deal with Blackhole to avoid trouble.

Gandhari ending explained (Spoiler alert)

The betrayal of 'Uma', 'Churni', and 'Jhunu Amba' leaves 'Bani' shaken to the core. She reveals all this to 'Gokul'. Meanwhile, 'Kabir', a distinguished law enforcement officer, along with his team, is also investigating the kidnapping case. After a chain of events, 'Bani' realises that on the night of the Chaumukhi Devi puja, the gang will carry out another operation.
