Shah Rukh Khan has been bagging immense success for his recently released film, Jawan. Moreover, the actor has been receiving congratulatory messages from his industry friends for his powerpacked performance in the film. And to everyone's surprise, Kangana Ranaut too heaped praises on SRK for his film. However, internet users trolled the actress for her double standards as they dug out her old post, wherein, she indirectly called out SRK and his son, Aryan Khan during the latter's drug case.
On September 7, 2023, Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram handle and dropped a congratulatory message for Shah Rukh Khan as his film, Jawan hit the silver screens. She shared a poster of SRK's recently released film, Jawan and penned a long note for the actor. In her note, the actress heaped praises on King Khan for his exceptional performance in the film. Elaborating more on it, Kangana called him a 'mass super hero'. In her words:
"From being the ultimate lover boy of the nineties to a decade long struggle again to reinvent his connection with his audience in his late forties to mid fifties and ultimately rising as the quintessential Indian mass super hero at the age of 60 (almost) Is nothing short of super heroic even in real life."

Further, in her note, Kangana recalled how people used to mock Shah Rukh for his choices and mentioned that his struggle is an example for all artists. Calling him the 'God of cinema', Kangana bowed down to SRK for his hard work and humility. Her note can be read as: "
I remember the time when people wrote him off and mocked his choices but his struggle is a master class for all those artists who enjoying long careers but must reinvent and reestablish. SRK is the cinema God that India needs not just for hugs or dimples but for some serious world saving as well. Bowing down to your perseverance, hard work and humility King Khan. @iamsrk. Congratulations to the whole team."
Soon after Kangana shared the story, a Reddit user re-shared the same on the discussion platform and the internet users flooded the comment section of the post with their witty reactions. While some called it a publicity stunt, others dug out her old post where she slammed SRK and his family during Aryan Khan's drug case. Reacting to her post, one of the Reddit users commented, "What was her comments on Aryan Khan's controversy??? SRK will be forever grateful for her appreciation." While one user wrote, "As if she wasn't taking potshots at him and his family...just yesterday?", another one commented, "Is she trying to build the brides she burnt? Who asked her to give publicly scathing opinion when his son was going through something hard? I hope SRK doesn't entertain her at all."

For the unversed, it was on October 3, 2021, when Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's son, Aryan Khan got arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau. During the time when SRK's family was going through a tough phase, Kangana had dropped a post on her IG handle, taking an indirect dig at the actor. She shared a post featuring Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan's statement when his son was arrested in a drug case. Sharing the same, Kangana had written:
