Falaq Naaz has been garnering a lot of limelight ever since she participated in the popular reality show, Bigg Boss OTT 2. Her stance and opinions in the show were hugely appreciated, and her link-up with fellow contestant, Avinash Sachdev also added more buzz. However, she recently got evicted from the show, just before she could enter the finale week. And now, after her exit, she has made quite a few revelations about her journey in the show as well as her personal life.
In a recent interview with TellyChakkar, Falaq Naaz opened up about her particularly strained relationship with her sister, Shafaq Naaz. For the unversed, Shafaq, who is also a popular television actress, had grabbed headlines about a year back when she revealed being totally disconnected with her sister and other family members. However, the Naaz sisters seemed to reunite in December 2022, when they came together to fight for their brother, Sheezan Khan’s alleged involvement in actress, Tunisha Sharma’s suicide case. And now, Falaq revealed how Shafaq has always kept a distance from her and the rest of the family. Elaborating more on it, she mentioned:
“Shafaq spent a lot of time with our grandmother, for some weird reason our nani brainwashed her against my mom. And whenever we used to visit our nani’s place. Shafaq used to be close with my cousins but never come to me, nani used to never send her home which is the reason there were a lot of fights. But when Shafaq turned 17 she began to live with us but, she began to question the finance of the house which was unacceptable. I told her that there is so much expense in this profession and over 1 lakh is spent on our face but she refused to listen. When it comes to my mom I can't tolerate any disrespect, the main reason we didn't speak up was due to finance.”

In the same interview, Falaq revealed that her sister, Shafaq still continues to harbour a distanced relationship with her, and has not even come to meet her once after her exit from the BB House. Interestingly, Shafaq had come to support her sister, Falaq during the family week of Bigg Boss, when the latter was still a part of it. However, Falaq now said that although Shafaq has sent through a long message to her, she has not yet met her in person, and added that she misses her a lot. In her words:
“Even today its been two days since I came out of Bigg Boss but she did not come to me, she sent me a long message about many things but I told her these things cannot be spoken on messages but in person, I do miss my sister a lot.”
In one of her previous interviews with BollywoodLife, right after her exit from the BB House, Falaq Naaz had addressed another buzz that concerned her sister, Shafaq and her rumoured lover, Avinash Sachdev. For the unversed, Avinash Sachdev had bared out his romantic feelings for Falaq in one of the episodes of Bigg Boss OTT 2. However, eagle-eyed netizens were quick to dig out old rumours about Avinash previously being in a relationship with Falaq’s sister, Shafaq. Reacting to the buzz, Falaq mentioned that she would wait for Avinash to come out of the show and then only be able to sort it out with him.
