Nana Patekar is one of the most talented actors in the entertainment world. Apart from making his fans go gaga with his acting skills, Nana Patekar also showed his skills in the field of screenwriting and filmmaking. Nana Patekar made his debut with the film, Gaman. He was also seen in movies like Salaam Bombay, Parinda, Angaar, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Agni Sakshi, and many more. For the unversed, he was also a former Territorial Army officer. However, the actor recently hit the headlines as a video of him slapping one of his fans made its way to social media. And now, we learnt the back story of the incident.
Amidst the video of Nana Patekar slapping a man going viral, the Gadar 2 director, Anil Sharma opened up about the same. In an interview with Aaj Tak, he revealed what exactly happened back there. Anil said that he came to know about the news a while ago. Talking more about the same, Anil mentioned that Nana Patekar didn't actually slap anyone, rather, it was a part of the shooting of Anil Sharma's film. The director also mentioned how the whole video was being shot. Anil said:
"I have just come to know about this news. I was watching the same video just now. Nana has not hit anyone, rather that is a shot from my film. We were filming it on the road in the middle of Banaras, where a boy who comes near Nana has to be hit on the head. Shooting was going on and Nana also hit him.”

Going further in the interview, Anil Sharma stated that as they were shooting on the road in the middle of Banaras, people started gathering around to watch the shooting going on. They recorded it and uploaded it on social media, and it spread out like fire while projecting Nana Patekar as a rude actor. Anil Sharma stated:
"But the crowd gathered there recorded it on their mobile cameras and then leaked the shot of the film. Now, Nana is being projected as a negative and rude actor on social media, which is completely wrong. Through Aaj Tak, I would request that the fans understand the truth of this video. This is a shot from the film. Nana has not hit anyone.”
It was a few hours ago when a video of Nana Patekar made rounds on social media. In the video, the actor could be seen all decked up in a brown blazer and a hat as he was busy shooting for one of his films. Later, a man could be seen approaching him for a selfie. However, Nana got furious at this, and he started smacking him. Then, a crew member reportedly could be seen grabbing the boy by his neck and escorting him out from the frame.

As soon as the video went viral, the internet went furious. Reacting to the video, netizens started slamming Nana for his rude behaviour. However, reacting to the viral video, one user penned, "Totally unacceptable behaviour". Another user commented, "Or b beheter tarike h handle kerne k..kisi ko b marna manav aachran nai ho sakta..tabhi kehte h apne adarsh dekh bhal kr banana chaiye..vaise b ye log sirf abhineta h....hum logo ne hi inhen bhagwan bana rakha h...Jai Shree Ram."
