Ex-NFL LB Slams Dianna Russini For 'Obsession' With Mike Vrabel, 'Appears To Be A Crazy Person...'

Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel are dominating the headlines on a daily basis in the sports world. The whole media frenzy and public backlash started when Page Six released a few photos which showed the former NFL insider for The Athletic and the New England Patriots' head coach engaging in PDA. This includes holding hands, hugging, and lounging together in a hot tub at a luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona. 

The controversy took a turn for the worse and almost confirmed people's belief that Mike and Dianna were cheating on their spouses with each other when Page Six dropped more bombshell pictures, which even featured them allegedly kissing. Amid this, recently, former NFL LB, Emmanuel Acho called out Dianna Russini for her 'obsession' with Mike, even saying that she is a “crazy person.”

Ever since the Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel alleged affair controversy started, many people have been weighing in on the matter. Aligning with the majority, former NFL linebacker, Emmanuel Acho also criticised Dianna. It was during a recent segment of his show, Speakeasy, that he opened up about whether he expects Mike Vrabel to face any kind of punishment for the scandal and how Dianna looks in this situation. He said:

“No [he won’t], because crazy enough, Russini just appears to be a crazy person. She has a child named Mike — strike No. 1. She had a playlist that was created, apparently, off of this four-game losing streak that she sent to Mike… Married people cheat… She named a child after [the man she had an alleged affair with].”

What did NFL All-Pro Marcellus Wiley and Chris Carter say about the Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini scandal?

While appearing on Dat Dude TV, former NFL All-Pro Marcellus Wiley also weighed in on the Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel drama. In fact, he criticised the key elements in the scandal. According to him, lies are the main reason and key factor when we look at everything that went wrong. He said:

“We gotta slap ourselves when we lie. And we all lie, trust me. If we’re caught slipping, the first thing is, ‘Is this lie gonna work, because I don’t wanna deal with these consequences?’ Once you realise, and hopefully you’ve got a better ‘Spidey Sense’ than Dianna, you realise this ain’t gonna work.”

As you might already be aware, not many people expect Mike Vrabel to suffer any career damage as a result of the ongoing scandal. He might have publicly apologised and also missed Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft, but he still has the back of the Patriots organisation, considering that they show no signs of firing him. However, that's not the case for Dianna.

Many believe that her career as an NFL journalist is over, especially because she has lost credibility owing to the alleged affair. And credibility is a very important thing in the journalistic field. Just a week after the scandal first erupted, the backlash she faced also led her to resign from her job at The Athletic. Opening up about how Dianna is facing the brunt of the public's anger, NFL legend, Crisis Carter, claimed:

“I do know some people that have talked to Dianna, and this has been a horrific experience for her, like, life-altering in a negative way. And it shouldn’t be that way. And the only reason that it is, is because she’s a female. This is a male-dominated world.”
