'Rue Bennett's' turbulent journey comes to an end with Euphoria Season 3 (Spoiler alert)

Euphoria Season 3 finale titled In God We Trust takes the audience on an emotional roller coaster filled with shocking deaths, and unexpected revelations. Zendaya as 'Rue' struggles hard to escape the dangerous world that has consumed more than half of her life. 'Rue' manages to escape 'Laurie's' compound and ends up back at another antagonist, 'Alamo's'. However, 'Alamo' has a secret plan to kill 'Rue' and thus hands over a bottle of Percocet to relieve the pain due to her injuries. 

But little did 'Rue' know that the Percocets were laced with fentanyl. She ends up overdosing on the drug. The drug dose leads to 'Rue's' tragic death. Soon, the audience sees 'Rue's' final hallucinations, which include reconnections with loved ones, revisiting meaningful places from her childhood and imagining impossible reunions. The next morning, 'Ali' discovers 'Rue's' cold, dead body that lay on his sofa.

'Rue's' tragic death left 'Ali' heartbroken. He also feels guilty for not being able to save her. Months later, 'Ali' struggles with grief and speaks at a recovery meeting about how dangerous addiction is and the devastating impact of fentanyl. But 'Ali's' story in Euphoria doesn’t end here. He decides to go after the criminal, 'Alamo', who is responsible for 'Rue's' death.

During the showdown in a nightclub, 'Alamo' tries to overpower 'Ali' and takes control of the situation with his gun. However, by the time 'Alamo' realises that his gun is not loaded, 'Ali' takes advantage of the moment and shoots 'Alamo,' and ends up killing.

What happens to 'Cassie' and 'Maddy' after 'Rue's' death?

'Cassie' was dragged into 'Alamo's' world due to 'Nate's' debt, and after his death, the former is in danger. However, as 'Ali' killed 'Alamo', 'Cassie' gets free from the debts. 'Maddy', who also had a connection with 'Alamo', had a narrow escape during 'Alamo' and 'Ali's' showdown. 'Alamo' intended to have sex with 'Maddy' and have babies with her, but his dream crashes down as 'Ali' comes after him. After 'Alamo's' death, both 'Cassie' and 'Maddy' start living together. They have teamed up to create an OnlyFans content house. Only they know that 'Nate' is no longer alive and hides this truth from everyone, including 'Lexie.'
