Euphoria Season 3 has created a buzz on social media. Ever since the first episode premiered on April 12, 2026, fans of the hit franchise, Euphoria, couldn’t stop talking. Zendaya as 'Rue' is the heart of the series. The story of Euphoria leaps forward five years in Season 3. With nearing release of Euphoria Season 3 Episode 2, people have grown curious to know what happens at the end of Episode 1. Well, we’ve got you covered.

'Rue' lands in serious trouble in Euphoria Season 3 Episode 1 (Spoilers ahead)

The first episode of Euphoria Season 3 kicks off with 'Rue' (played by Zendaya). She is driving across the Mexican desert to reach the US border. However, her car gets stuck, and with no other option left, 'Rue' ditches it and walks until she finds the Miller family in El Paso, Texas, who are religious. During her stay for one night in the Miller family, 'Rue' convinces them by saying that she is writing a story on the dangers of illegal immigration. Even though 'Rue' is lying to the religious family, she gets affected when conversations begin surrounding her beliefs about God.

Later, one of the members of the Miller family drives 'Rue' back home. This is when the audience learns about 'Rue's' secret connection with drug dealer 'Laurie'. In a flashback scene, 'Laurie' reminds 'Rue' that she owes USD 43 million for USD 10,000 worth of drugs. Subsequently, 'Rue' starts working for 'Laurie' and becomes her number one mule with time. 'Rue' and her friend, 'Faye' (played by Chloe Cherry), smuggle drugs and are working for 'Laurie'. When 'Rue' is away from drug smuggling, she is working as an Uber driver. Although, 'Rue' has become 'Laurie's' number one mule after working for her for two years, the former desires to leave the business as soon as she pays off her debt.

'Nate' and 'Cassie' are set to marry in Euphoria Season 3 Episode 1 (Spoilers ahead)

At the end of Euphoria Season 2, 'Nate' and 'Cassie's' secret affair gets exposed soon after the former has a breakup with 'Cassie's' best friend, 'Maddy'. Season 2 ends with 'Cassie's' love confession to 'Nate' and 'Cassie' and 'Maddy's' friendship fallout. In Season 3 Episode 1, 'Cassie' and 'Nate' rekindle their romance and are seen planning their wedding. They are living together in a lavish mansion. However, their relationship is not a happy one as 'Nate' is busy with his family business, while 'Cassie' is left alone.

'Cassie' wants money to decorate the mansion and have a luxurious wedding. However, 'Nate' is hesitant. Thus, to earn money, 'Cassie' starts posting bold and attention-grabbing content on social media.  Later, 'Cassie' opens an OnlyFans account to make direct money from followers. Initially, 'Nate' is reluctant, but later he agrees by making some rules for 'Cassie' to continue with her OnlyFans account.

'Lexi' and 'Maddy' are still in touch

In Euphoria Season 3 Episode 1, 'Lexi' is seen working in Hollywood and is an assistant to a famous actress. Her job includes doing small tasks like getting coffee. Alongside this, 'Lexi' is also learning more about the industry. On the other hand, 'Maddy' is working at a talent management company in Hollywood. While on social media, Maddy's' life looks glamorous, but in reality, her life is boring. 'Maddy' and the younger sister of 'Cassie', 'Lexi', are still in touch.

Euphoria Season 3 Episode 1 ending: 'Rue's' chilling encounter with 'Alamo' (Spoilers alert)

'Rue' lands in bigger trouble at the end of Euphoria Season 3 Episode 1, when she has a chilling encounter with 'Alamo'. For those unaware, 'Alamo' is the owner of a strip club. 'Rue' delivers drugs to 'Alamo'. However, when a woman gets killed because of the drugs delivered by 'Rue', 'Alamo' gets very angry. Instead of killing her, 'Alamo' makes a dangerous move by putting an apple on 'Rue's' head and shooting at it. It is 'Rue's' belief in God that saves her at the end of the episode.
