'Euphoria' Season 3 Episode 3 Recap, 'Cassie' And 'Nate's' Wedding Descends Into Brutal Violence

Euphoria has turned out to be one of the most successful shows on HBO. Following a positive response to the first two seasons, the third one started airing from April 12, 2026. Notably, a shift in the tone has undoubtedly led to a mixed response from critics. However, audiences have shown the same level of excitement for Season 3 as they did for the previous two.

'Jules’s' past as a sugar baby is explored in the third episode

The initial frames in the third episode of Euphoria Season 3 explore 'Jules’s' past at the art school, where she was a sugar baby. She gets in touch with 'Rick,' who was never romantically linked to anyone. This eventually helps 'Jules' to pay for the necessary expenses, following which plastic surgeon, 'Ellis,' gets attracted to her. The duo gets into a conversation, and 'Jules' decides to drop out of the art school. 'Ellis' later turns out to be the only client of 'Jules.'

'Cassie' becomes emotional after listening to her mother

The main focus of the third episode is 'Cassie' and 'Nate’s' wedding. The preparations are going on, and 'Cassie' has a lot of doubts about 'Nate,' as he did not return home the previous night. On the other hand, 'Nate' is shown throwing up before the marriage ceremony. However, he manages to reach the aisle and is waiting for the bride. 'Cassie' is approached by her mother, who opens up to her about how marriages don’t work and even refers to her failed marriage with 'Cassie’s' father. 'Cassie' becomes emotional after speaking to her mother and is panicked. But things do not go wrong as everyone celebrates while the bride and groom kiss each other.

'Cassie' and 'Nate' have a confrontation after they are threatened by 'Nas'

'Nate' owed money to a man named 'Nas,' who was attending the wedding. 'Nas' threatens 'Nate' and 'Cassie,' saying that they are in trouble. The couple from the dinner party who contributed to 'Nate’s' real estate development scheme hear everything. 'Cassie' remains silent about her issues when her sister, 'Lexi,' asks her about the same. The situation takes a different turn when 'Cassie' confronts 'Nate,' telling him that he is not the person he claims to be. While 'Nate' tries to handle the matter, he is accidentally hit by 'Cassie' in the eye with a cork.

'Nate' is attacked by 'Nas' at the mansion after the wedding

Despite 'Cassie' hitting 'Nate,' things remain normal as the duo drives off, with 'Nate' telling 'Cassie' that he will find a solution to the problem. But the issues are not over as 'Nate' and 'Cassie' witness 'Nas' waiting for them at their home. 'Nate' is attacked from the back, and 'Cassie' also injures her nose. She expresses her dissatisfaction with the fact that her wedding day has been ruined. 'Nas’s' henchmen also cut 'Nate’s' pinky toe.

'Laurie’s' bird, 'Paladin,' dies in the third episode of Euphoria Season 3

'Rue' attends the wedding of 'Cassie' and 'Nate.' However, she is contacted by 'Bishop' and is forced to leave immediately. 'Rue' and 'Bishop' then go to 'Laurie’s' place, aiming to take some pills. But the real intention is to poison 'Paladin,' 'Laurie’s' bird. 'Laurie' tries to bring 'Rue' back to the wedding, and in between that, 'Bishop' manages to put a tablet in 'Paladin’s' water. While the duo leaves, 'Rue' is stopped by the DEA, and the episode ends with 'Paladin’s' death after having the poisoned water.
