Over the years, we have observed that there are very few actresses, who share a cordial relationship with each other. Otherwise, friendship in the filmi world is a rare sight, especially between the leading ladies. From launching verbal attacks to giving cold shoulder to one another, Bollywood is filled with many examples of catfights.
Whether it is Kareena Kapoor Khan and Bipasha Basu's verbal tiff or Sonam Kapoor calling Aishwarya Rai Bachchan 'aunty', Bollywood has witnessed some really nasty fights. However, there are times, when the matter gets out of hand, leading to a physical clash. One such conflict had happened between Esha Deol and Amrita Rao, where the former had slapped the latter.

The incident had happened in the year 2006, on the sets of Pyare Mohan, where Esha and Amrita had starred together along with Fardeen Khan and Vivek Oberoi. Although the film flopped at the box office, Esha and Amrita's fallout made it to the headlines. Esha confessed to slapping Amrita in public and revealed that she had no regrets about the same.
It was reported that Amrita had said something nasty about Esha, who lost her cool and in a fit-of-rage slapped the Vivaah actress. In a throwback interview with The Times of India, Esha had revealed what exactly happened and had said,
"Yes, I slapped Amrita. One day after pack-up, she abused me in front of my director, Indra Kumar and my cameraman and I thought that was totally out of line. To protect my self-respect and dignity, in the heat of the moment, I slapped her. I have no regrets because she totally deserved it for her behaviour towards me at that point in time."
Stating it as an act to protect her dignity, Esha had continued,
"I just stood up for myself and my dignity. She realised what she had done and apologised to me and I forgave her. Now, things are fine between us."

Esha Deol got married to businessman, Bharat Takhtani in 2012. The couple embraced parenthood for the first time in 2017, with the arrival of their daughter, Radhya Takhtani. In 2019, Esha and Bharat completed their family with the arrival of their second child, whom they have named, Miraya Takhtani.
Esha took a break from acting after becoming a mother of Radhya and Miraya. However, a few months back, she had announced her OTT debut along with her Yuva co-star, Ajay Devgn. Sharing the happy news, Esha had written, "Happy to share with you all that I am returning in front of the arc lights opposite Ajay @ajaydevgn who has been a fabulous co-star to me in many films, in the web series - "Rudra - The Edge of Darkness."
On the other hand, Amrita Rao got married to RJ Anmol in 2016 in an intimate ceremony. After four years of marital bliss, Amrita and Anmol had welcomed their baby boy in November 2020, whom they have named Veer. Amrita was last seen in the 2019 movie, Thackeray. She is now enjoying every moment with her little munchkin.

Esha, who was last seen in a 2015 movie, Kill Them Young had also penned a book, Amma Mia on her experiences of motherhood!
