Daughter of one of the most iconic couples, Hema Malini and Dharmendra, Esha Deol had always wanted to marry someone as handsome as her father. When she had met Bharat Takhtani at the age of 13, she had never thought that they were destined to be together. Being from different schools, Esha and Bharat would often cross paths during inter-school competitions. It was love at first sight for Bharat, Esha had taken her own sweet time.

But once Esha was sure of her feelings for Bharat, the two had decided to take their relationship to the next level. On June 29, 2012, Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani had exchanged their wedding vows. Together they weaved a paradise with their daughters, Radhya Takhtani and Miraya Takhtani. Esha had made her comeback to acting in 2018 with her short film, Cakewalk. She had also authored a book, Amma Mia, which documents her adventures in motherhood. Esha is quite active on social media and loves sharing glimpses of her family.
On March 26, 2021, Esha took to her IG handle and shared a video of herself, where she was seen munching her favourite chocolate on her cheat day. In the video, captured by her hubby, Bharat, we can see the beautiful actress sharing the last bite of her chocolate with her dog, and it exuded the pure love of a pet parent. On June 29, 2020, Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani had completed eight years of marital bliss. And to mark their 8th anniversary, Esha had taken a trip down the memory lane and had posted some unseen pictures from their wedding. Esha had posted a picture from their wedding rituals and had written, "This day many years ago... my forever, my love, together for keeps together for eternity! Love u my BeeTee God bless @bharattakhtani3." On her IG story, Esha had posted a picture with her brother, Abhay Deol performing the wedding rituals and her parents, Hema Malini and Dharmendra were seen standing by her side.

At the age of 13 only, Bharat Takhtani had lost his heart to the star daughter of the Deol family, Esha Deol. Bharat's affection had soon deepened for Esha, but he had no idea who she was. Esha had considered him only as her ‘friend’ until 10 years later when in a chance meeting at Niagara Falls, they had reignited their friendship. Earlier in school, when Bharat Takhtani had playfully decided to hold Esha Deol’s hands, she had gotten offended and had said, “How dare you hold my hand?” So, years later, when Bharat had realised that Esha had developed a fondness for him, he had asked her, “Now can I hold your hand?” To which, she had then given the nod, and to his delight, she had added that he could hold it forever.
Do you know that Esha Deol was quite casual when she had introduced her then-beau, Bharat Takhtani to her parents, Hema Malini and Dharmendra? In an interview with the Filmfare, Esha had recalled the same and had said, “I called out to her and said, ‘Mama, come up! I’ve something to show you’. Mom came up to my floor, casually playing with the dogs, unaware of what was in store. Then I introduced her to Bharat. Both being Librans, hit it off instantly!” Revealing about her dad, Dharmendra’s meeting with Bharat, Esha had said, “Papa and Bharat sat alone and chatted for an hour.” Bharat had continued, “Dharamji’s seen life. He listed a few things and asked whether I’d be able to fulfil those. I’ve turned more responsible after that meeting. I’ve already fulfilled half of the things from that list.”
