On January 13, 2020, Erica Jennifer Fernandes had taken to her Instagram to announce that she is in love. Sharing a picture where she is holding someone's hand and clarifying that she is ‘not engaged’, Erica had written, “When I’m with you, i act different , in a good way ofcourse. I always smile more, i always laugh more With you i can drop the fake smile (if any) and put on a real one. I don’t feel hurt or alone when I’m with you instead i feel safe and loved You’re easy to talk to and you listen to me . I don’t feel sad around you and you show me that you really do care in-fact i can see that you’re not pretending. I really appreciate what you’ve done and continue to do coz with you I’m different I’m happy #us p.s :- if thats what your thinking then Nah not engaged.”
A while back, Erica Jennifer Fernandes treated her fans with a ‘in love’ post, wherein she is seen looking at her phone with a radiant big smile. Captioning the post, Erica wrote, “You are my favourite notification #you #me #us.” And the blush on Erica’s face on receiving a notification from her special someone, is the cherry on the cake! She also posted a black-and-white blurred picture with her beau and write “our story” atop it.
Even though Erica Jennifer Fernandes had clarified that she is not engaged, the speculations regarding the same have been prevailing in the media. Tagging them to be baseless, Erica had stated in an interview with Pinkvilla, “When I put up the post, I didn't think too much as honestly, this was just a general post about my personal life and space. A lot of people think I am very secretive in certain aspects, but that is not true, as I prefer being more private about my personal life. So today I just thought of opening up a bit more to people so that they can know a little more information about my own space, but again not too much! So, for now, this small sneak peek is more than enough from my side."
Since Erica Jennifer Fernandes had made her debut with Sony TV show, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, there has been no looking back for the actress and in no time, she climbed the ladder of success. But as Erica stepped into the world of fame, she was followed by the conjectures regarding her dating life. Earlier, Erica was speculated to be dating her Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi co-star, Shaheer Sheikh and later, conjectures were rife that she is in a relationship with her Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 co-star, Parth Samthaan. Erica Jennifer Fernandes, in a throwback interview with the Hindustan Times, had shunned her and Parth Samthaan’s dating rumours and had blurted out the truth. She was quoted as saying, “It is news to me that such rumours are out there. But, I guess, rumours are a part and parcel of the entertainment industry. I have known Parth since we started working together on our TV show and we shoot every day. We are good friends and have a great working relationship. Whenever we chill together, we have a whole bunch of people with us. When we go for events, we are often leaving from our set, so yes, we do leave together. That doesn’t mean we go home together. In fact, we live in different parts of the city.”
An alleged relationship between Erica Jennifer Fernandes and Shaheer Sheikh were doing the rounds, ever since their hit show, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, where the couple had played the lead. Rumours about the couple parting ways had also grabbed a lot of eyeballs but Erica’s interview with The Times of India, had ‘kind of’ cleared a lot of confusion. Denying all sorts of their relationship rumours, Erica had remarked, “Shaheer and I were good friends. We shared great chemistry because of our off-screen rapport. It’s important to enjoy a comfort level with your co-actor. It is not true that we were in a relationship, but I don’t deny the friendship. I would love to hang out with Shaheer even now, but I am busy shooting.”
Erica Jennifer Fernandes had also claimed then that she is ‘single’. Speaking about ‘her kind of guy’, the gorgeous actress had stated, “It depends a lot on the respect that person gives you. I don’t mind chivalry either. He does not have to be very rich or someone with six packs.” Looks like, Erica finally found the man of her dreams!
