Emraan Hashmi is one of the most talented actors in the Hindi film industry. Hailed for his masterclass performances, Emraan made his acting debut with the movie, Footpath. Apart from that, he was seen in several other movies, such as Kalyug, Aksar, Gangster, Jannat, and Murder 2, among others. Currently, Emraan is basking in glory for his recently released film, Tiger 3. However, it was his presence in Koffee With Karan 4 that sparked a lot of controversy as he made some remarks about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. And now, years later, the actor recalled being starstruck by none other than the actress.
In a recent interview with Connect FM Cannada, Emraan Hashmi revealed his fanboy moment with none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The actor recalled being awestruck by the actress and waiting for hours to have a glimpse of her. Recalling the incident, Emraan shared that during the filming of the movie, Raaz, where he was an assistant director, he went outside Aishwarya's van and waited for one and a half hours to just watch her because he was blown away totally by her grace after watching Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Emraan recalled:
"I have been starstruck by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Actually, I had never done this before. I waited outside her van when I was an assistant director with my cousin Mohit Suri. He was also an assistant at that time. I waited for atleast for one-and-a-half-hours. I had not done that before. It was ridiculous. We were assisting for Raaz but before that I had seen her film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and I was a huge fan. I wanted to get a glimpse of her.”

Earlier, in an interview with Zoom Entertainment, Emraan Hashmi was asked about his controversial comment on Koffee With Karan. To this, Emraan said that one ends up making enemies. When asked about him not attending shows anymore, Emraan said that these shows are too much to handle. Later, the actor was asked about whether he would ever grace the Koffee couch again. To this, the actor stated that he would end up messing things up again. He further added that he didn't have anything against any people, and all he ever wanted was to win the hamper.
For the unversed, Emraan Hashmi appeared on Koffee With Karan 4, and while being there, during the rapid-fire round, he was asked to name one actor or actress that came to his mind after hearing the word plastic. To this, Emraan quickly took Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's name. However, Emraan taking Aishwarya's name on the word 'plastic' was not liked by the diva's fans, who started bashing the actor.

After receiving a lot of flak for his comment, Emraan had to issue a public apology. In his apology, Emraan mentioned that he is a fan of Aishwarya and truly loves her works. He also added that it's the format of the show, which was why he ended up saying Aishwarya's name. Emraan said that he knew from the beginning that people would make a big deal out of it.
