Later, he had starred in the teen romantic film, Bobby and had redefined love and romance for generations.

However, Rishi Kapoor was bowled over by the beautiful Neetu Kapoor and the two had cemented their relationship in 1980 and it was a proof of the wedding vow, ‘til death does us apart!' In their beautiful journey, the couple was blessed with two kids, Riddhima Kapoor (1980) and Ranbir Kapoor (1982).

"Today is two years since rishi ji left us… loosing a partner of 45 years was difficult n painful at that time the only way to heal my heart was to keep myself mentally occupied... Movie n television heldped me achieve that rishiji will always be remembered n will stay in everyone’s heart forever #dancedeewanejuniors."

Not just Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni too remembered her late father, Rishi Kapoor on his death anniversary. Riddhima took to her IG handle and posted a throwback picture of Rishi Kapoor, carrying little Riddhima in his arms. She just captioned the picture as, "Papa", followed by a heart emoticon.

It was on Simi Garewal’s show, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, when Neetu Kapoor had thrown some light on her married life with Rishi Kapoor. She had shared that romance is much more than romantic candlelight dinners and going on dates. For her and her husband, romance was more about togetherness and nurturing their children together. And that she felt had made her love story with Rishi Kapoor more romantic than Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

Ever since, Rishi Kapoor's death, Neetu Kapoor has gathered the broken pieces of her heart and had begun the second innings of life. Keeping a brave face, Neetu had bounced back to acting. In an interview with Film Companion, Ranbir Kapoor had revealed that he doesn't know whether Neetu Kapoor has healed post Rishi Kapoor's death. Revealing that her work might help her heal, the actor had stated:

"I don't know what my mother went through. My mother was a rock to my father (throughout) this hard time. She was there through everything. I mean the kind of selflessness that I've seen my mother go through is something which I've never seen anybody (go through) anywhere else, and I don't know if she's healed, you know. I don't know if she has or she has not. Maybe she needs therapy, maybe she needs to speak it out - maybe through her work, maybe through interacting with people that have come out. But I'm really, really happy that she's doing this."

You will always be immortal in our hearts, Rishi ji!
