Elsie Hewitt Shares 'Silence Is Deafening' In IG Post Amid Reports Of Breakup With Pete Davidson

Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt are in the headlines for all the wrong reason. The once-madly-in-love couple is now surrounded by rumours about their relationship hitting a rough patch. The news is even getting more traction as just five months ago, Elsie and Pete got blessed with a baby girl, whom they have named Scottie Rose.

Amid reports claiming that Elsie and Pete have parted ways, the former took to her Instagram handle and shared a note. Elsie is busy taking care of her young daughter and navigating the needs of an infant, and adjusting to their life is tiresome for every new mother. On May 14, 2026, Elsie took to her Instagram handle and posted an IG story. In the photo, she was putting her hand to her head, looking dismayed. Along with it, she penned a note on how difficult it is to put a screaming baby down for a nap and exhale while you sit to have a breath and realise you have not peed all day. She wrote:

"When u finally get screaming baby down for a nap and u exhale and sit with urself for a sec and realize u haven’t breathed for an hour or peed all day. The silence is deafening."

She shared another photo of herself on Instagram stories with a skyroof behind her. Along with it, she called herself a zombie. It is worth mentioning that just after Elsie's Instagram stories, reports by The U.S. Sun revealed that the couple had called it quits.  A source close to them revealed that Pete is travelling for work, while Elsie needs support from him in raising their daughter together. However, it was hard for Pete as he needed to make money. A source said:

"Pete has been traveling so much for work, but Elsie was craving more support from him at home after their daughter was born. It was very hard for him because, obviously, he has to work to make money."

It is worth mentioning that on May 10, 2026, Davidson made an appearance in Inglewood, California, for Netflix's show, The Roast of Kevin Hart. Soon, he was spotted at the 30th Annual Webby Awards. However, during his acceptance speech he made a cryptic statement of 'being dead inside'. It left many speculate if he was going through some trouble.

The couple had a bunny-theamed baby shower bash. The two welcomed their daughter on December 12, 2025, when Elsie posted to announce the arrival of their baby girl, whom they have named Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson. The couple's relationship went downhill, and Page Six reported that the two are struggling in their relationship. 

According to The Sun, Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt began to escalate after the birth of their daughter, Scottie Rose. A source revealed that Elsie wanted Pete to spend more time with her as she is navigating the new journey. The source shared:

"Pete has been travelling so much for work, but Elsie was craving more support from him at home after their daughter was born. It was very hard for him because, obviously, he had to work to make money. They are just focusing 100 per cent on Scottie. Working out the best co-parenting solution is their top priority."
