Despite people making fun of the mother of flashbacks, breaker of TRP records and the queen of the returning dead, Ekta Kapoor had never failed to impress her audience and had a major contribution to the world of entertainment. From Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi to Naagin series, Kucch To Hai to Veere Di Wedding, Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat to XXX, Ekta has come a long way and has a really inspiring journey. Besides being the Soap Queen of India, Ekta Kapoor is on cloud nine on her personal front too. Ekta recently became a proud single mother of a baby boy, Ravie Kapoor, via surrogacy. Reportedly, Ekta had purchased a new house post attaining motherhood and had shared a glimpse of the same and her expansive new gym on her Instagram handle. Sharing the video, she wrote the words, “New home! New gym” atop the video.
However, no matter how successful and happy a woman is, she is always bothered with the question, “When is she getting married?” Even Ekta Kapoor has to face such questions, but she has a perfect reply to all those people who nag her by saying, ‘You’re next!’ In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Ekta had said, “Well, it does not matter how successful I get... people still ask me about marriage. I feel marriage should not be a validation for women. It is something you have to fight yourself. My mother and I have had the discussion like a million times. Ekta Kapoor also shared how her mother reacts when she put people in their place when they bother her with marriage questions. She stated, “People look at you and say ‘so, you’re next’. I used to just put them in their place much to my mom’s horror and she would tell me not to be rude. But I told her that if people ask me stupid questions, I shall give them stupid answers. My mom used to get scared to take me to these places.” But, she added that her mother has now come to terms with it, “What used to be pressure has now become liberating. Her (Ekta’s mother’s) friends’ married daughters had problems back home. One day she said it was great that I didn’t go that path. So, it has fallen into place.”
Ekta Kapoor had announced the arrival of her son, Ravie Kapoor, on January 31, 2019, by saying, "By God’s grace, I have seen many successes in my life, but nothing beats the feeling of this beautiful soul being added in my world. I cannot even begin to express how happy my baby’s birth has made me.” She had continued, “Everything in life doesn’t go the way you want it to but there are always solutions to those hiccups. I found mine and today I feel immensely blessed to become a parent.
