Ekta Kapoor and Tusshar Kapoor are not only related in terms of blood but what connects them more is the fact that they both are a single parent. Yes, Tusshar Kapoor is a single father to Laksshay Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor is a single mother to Ravie Kapoor. Recently, Ekta and Tusshar had appeared on one of the episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show.
During the shoot of the episode, some interesting revelations were made by Ekta Kapoor and Tusshar Kapoor as to how like every sibling they used to fight a lot in their childhood. In fact, once Ekta Kapoor had called the police after Tusshar Kapoor had punched her in the nose. As per an NDTV report, Ekta Kapoor was quoted as saying, "Like every other sibling, I and Tusshar fight a lot. You will be surprised to know that once when we went on a family trip to Tirupati, we both started fighting for some reason. During the fight, Tusshar punched my nose. Later, I dialled the cops."
Tusshar Kapoor also recalled a similar incident as to how dangerously they used to fight while going to school. Tusshar said, "When we both used to go to school, we used to have very dangerous fights. We used to even tear each other’s collar buttons. In such cases, we had to rush back home to change our clothes and so we used to get late for school."
It was on January 31, 2019, when Ekta Kapoor herself had shared the happy news of her becoming a mother for the first time. She had written on Instagram, “By God’s grace, I have seen many successes in my life, but nothing beats the feeling of this beautiful soul being added in my world. I cannot even begin to express how happy my baby’s birth has made me. Everything in life doesn’t go the way you want it to but there are always solutions to those hiccups. I found mine and today I feel immensely blessed to become a parent. It is an emotional moment for me, and my family and I can’t wait to begin this new journey of being a mother to my little bundle of joy, Ravie Kapoor.” (Suggested Read: Shilpa Shetty Kundra Reveals The Secret Behind Giving A Normal Life To Her Son Viaan Raj Kundra)
Ekta Kapoor, in an interview with the Bombay Times, had talked about her life post embracing motherhood. She was quoted as saying, “Currently, life is all about spending as much time as possible with my son. These days, I try and leave the office earlier than usual. I bring Ravie to the office frequently and he spends time with my team. I have a huge support system in my mother and my team, so whenever I get busy with meetings, they keep him entertained. He is only three months old, but he has made friends with my colleagues and it may sound unrealistic, but he recognises people at work.”
She had further stated, “That is one of the reasons I have set up a creche in my office. Even when my son grows older, the creche will continue, because it is important for working mothers to be around their babies. In fact, I should have built it in my office a long time ago. I regret not having done that earlier.”
Talking to famous film critic, Anupama Chopra, about the first time she found out she was going to be a mom, Ekta Kapoor had said, “When I knew that the surrogate had conceived, and it was on June 7. On my birthday I got to know. I was a bit overwhelmed. I was like 'Okay this is happening. This is going to be a huge responsibility. I just wrote a show out which is going to be with an A-list Bollywood actress. It's called Metal hood. It's about motherhood and every time we did the scripting about the Momzillas and the pressure you go through, the guilt you go through, tiger moms, helicopter moms, I was constantly feeling overwhelmed. But now I have realised that I have a lot of guilt even now.”
Coming back to Ekta Kapoor and Tusshar Kapoor, the latter had recently shared with a media house how his son, Laksshya is jealous of his brother, Ravie Kapoor. Tusshar Kapoor had shared, “Laksshya is very fond of Ravie and calls him ‘chota bhai’. But when he sees me holding Ravie in my arms, Laksshya feels a little jealous like any other kid would (laughs). Ravie gets excited when he sees us around and has started recognising us.” (Also Read: Dimpy Ganguly's Daughter Reanna's 3rd Birthday Bash Will Remind You Of Old-School 90s Celebrations)
