Ajay Devgn is once again returning as the fearless family man, 'Vijay Salgaonkar'. According to reports, Drishyam: The Conclusion is the final installment of the Drishyam franchise. Alongside Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Sharan, Ishita Dutta, and Rajat Kapoor are also reprising their role in the upcoming sequel. This time, Jaideep Ahlawat is joining the cast.
What to expect in Drishyam 3?
Drishyam: The Conclusion takes 'Vijay Salgaonkar' and his family’s story forward, where their old secret comes under fresh pressure. A new investigation brings Crime Branch officer 'Rajveer Singh Tomar' (played by Jaideep Ahlawat) into the case. As new evidence begins to surface, 'Vijay' once again needs to protect his family and stay ahead of the investigation at the same time.

The first film introduced 'Vijay', a cable operator in Goa, who gets into trouble after his daughter 'Anju' (played by Ishita Dutta) accidentally kills Sam, the son of police officer Meera Deshmukh (played by Tabu). In order to save his family, 'Vijay' comes up with a detailed plan to cover up the crime. He creates a carefully planned alibi and hides 'Sam's' body beneath a police station under construction.
Seven years later, Drishyam 2 sees the case reopened after the police recover skeletal remains believed to be 'Sam's'. However, 'Vijay' was already one step ahead and had planned for this possibility and managed to switch the remains before the DNA test. With no solid proof that the remains belong to 'Sam', the case falls apart once again, allowing 'Vijay' and his family to walk free.
Drishyam 3 early review (Spoiler alert)
Drishyam 3 has already created a buzz on social media. According to Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, Drishyam 3 is outstanding and is a sure-shot blockbuster. Giving Drishyam: The Conclusion a rating of 4.5 stars, he called it the best film of the franchise. He lauded director Abhishek Pathak for the storytelling. Pointing out the highlights of the film, Taran wrote:
"The biggest high point is the #AjayDevgn - #JaideepAhlawat face-off in the first half. Simply Marvellous. Deserves a standing ovation! The courtroom sequences are another major highlight. In fact, the very first sequence featuring #PrakashRaj with #AjayDevgn and his family is yet another brilliant moment."
Taran described Ajay Devgn as 'Vijay Salgaonkar', the soul of the franchise and the lifeline of Drishyam: The Conclusion. He especially pointed out the pre-interval sequence between Ajay Devgn and Jaideep Ahlawat and shared that the audience would definitely like to watch it repeatedly. He added that Jaideep Ahlawat is a brilliant addition to the franchise. Taran also mentioned Tabu’s remarkable performance. Taran wrote:
"His performance is controlled yet commanding, and undoubtedly one of the film's biggest strengths. #Tabu is fabulous... Anger, hurt, revenge, determination – the varied emotions she portrays prove yet again why she was the best choice for this part."

The early reviews are totally positive. A critic wrote on X that Drishyam: The Conclusion is even better than Parts 1 and 2. They called the upcoming sequel brilliant, gripping, powerful, and thoroughly entertaining. Another critic shared that the climax twist is unexpected and is better than Drishyam 1 and 2. A third critic shared a mixed review. They mentioned that the first half is slow compared to the second half.
The critic added that the climax of Drishyam: The Conclusion is completely different from Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3. They revealed that once again 'Vijay Salgaonkar' successfully tricks everyone and wins. Cinephiles and critics are already calling Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 a blockbuster.
