Ajay Devgn has received the highest salary among the entire cast of Drishyam The Conclusion
Drishyam The Conclusion is back in the headlines, and this time it's not just for its story. While fans are excited to see 'Vijay Salgaonkar's' return, there is a lot of buzz around what the cast is being paid.
Leading the pack is Ajay Devgn, who will reprise his iconic role as 'Vijay Salgaonkar.' Being the face and soul of the franchise, he is reportedly the highest-paid in the film with an estimated paycheck of around Rs. 18 crore. It is important to note that the makers have not officially confirmed any fee figures, so these numbers are based on industry reports.
Tabu also makes a powerful comeback as 'Meera Deshmukh.' Her intense cat-and-mouse game with Vijay has always added depth to the franchise. As per reports, she has been paid between Rs. 2.5 crore and Rs. 3.5 crore for this installment.
Shriya Saran returns as 'Nandini Salgaonkar,' Vijay's wife. The actress was lauded for her emotional performance in the first two parts and remains central to the family's story. Her reported remuneration is said to be in the range of Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 1.5 crore. Ishita Dutta, who plays their elder daughter 'Anju,' has been a pivotal part of the plot since the beginning. Reports suggest her fee could be around Rs. 50 lakh to Rs. 80 lakh.
Veteran actor Rajat Kapoor, reprising his role as 'Mahesh Deshmukh,' is reportedly getting around Rs. 40 lakh to Rs. 70 lakh. The sequel also brings fresh faces to the cast, including Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj. Jaideep will play the new investigating officer, 'Rajveer Singh Tomar,' while Prakash Raj plays 'Indrajit Shetty.' Their fees for the film have not been disclosed yet.
Ajay Devgn confirms that Drishyam 4 won’t happen
The trailer of Drishyam The Conclusion was officially launched on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at a lavish event held in Goa, attended by the entire cast and the film's team.
At the event, Ajay Devgn, who has been the face of the franchise, spoke about why this film will be the final chapter. Speaking at the launch, Ajay shared that after the second part, no one was sure if another film would happen.
He mentioned that Drishyam is not the kind of franchise where a sequel can be made just for the sake of it, as it needs strong twists while staying rooted in the same world and carrying forward the story from where it ended, which he feels is an extremely difficult task.
Ajay also explained that director Abhishek Pathak came up with an idea that everyone liked, and then spent almost two and a half years developing it along with the writers. He praised the director's hard work and called the final script brilliant, adding that the entire team felt this should be the conclusion because trying to stretch it further will not be the right thing to do.
Ajay also appreciated Abhishek's growth as a filmmaker, saying that he has truly evolved with Drishyam, not just in terms of writing but also in execution, and that the audience would be able to see that growth in this film. He concluded that the story should be left at part three.
On the other hand, the Malayalam franchise with Mohanlal is moving ahead. Notably, producer Antony Perumbavoor also confirmed Drishyam 4 at the Mazhavil Manorama Awards in August 2026.
