On this beautiful occasion, Divyanka took to Instagram to share a special message for the love of her life, Vivek. The actress clearly stated that getting hitched was the best karma of her life. She wrote, “Amongst all the #Karmas done in my life, getting hitched with you was the best one! My best decision!#HappyEngagementAnniversary my love. Vivek also shared a mesmerising picture with Divyanka from their engagement day, along with which he wrote a small note. It states, “Mornings have passed, evenings have passed, so have the seasons. For those who don’t know, Divyanka and Vivek’s love-story started on the sets of Star Plus’s popular serial, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, and that is when the Cupid struck them with its sharpest love arrow. Vivek in an earlier interview opened about how love blossomed between the two. He said, “It wasn’t love at first sight. It was an arranged match. We were introduced by a common friend who is also a fellow actor. Then we started looking at each other from a life partner’s perspective. We often met after work and eventually started understanding that we are very compatible and similar to each other and we can take it further.”
Vivek has always showered praises on his wife. He once said in an interview, “Divyanka manages her personal and professional life really well. That she does it beautifully and effortlessly. Sometimes I have to look out for her so that she gives some time for herself to sleep. She can compromise on all those things to balance it out. In another interview, Divyanka revealed how Vivek had proposed her, and said, “We went to Bangalore and it was the first time Vivek was meeting my parents. Though we were aware of our feelings, I never thought that he will take a step further. My birthday falls on 14 December and my mother’s birthday falls on 13 December. So, after celebrating my mom’s birthday, we went out for dinner. I was expecting that after coming back home, I will get some surprise but, never expected something grand like this.”
Divyanka further added, “When I entered my home, I witnessed the entire place was brightly decorated with light and flower petals. At the end of the passage, Vivek was standing with a t-shirt in his hand. The specialty about the t-shirt was, on one part it was written that ‘You are an answer to every questions’, while on the other it was written that ‘Divyanka marry me’. Moreover, the words he said I will never forget those. He stated that I have everything that one can gift, the only I don’t have is commitment and he was ready to present me with that. It is one of the unforgettable moments of my life. In an interview with Times Of India, Vivek had talked about Divyanka’s cribbing habit. He said, “Divyanka cribs and in fact, I love that about her. I enjoy it when she nags, and is grumpy. Now, I have realised that she does that when she is hungry. So, whenever she is in a bad mood, I get food for her. What could irk her about me is that I am a lazy person. When we are holidaying, I don't usually like to step out.”
