The duo had met on the sets of Sasural Simar Ka and had become good friends. They would have never thought that the show would change their lives forever. While working together round the clock brought them close and the two fell madly-in-love with each other. And after dating for almost three years, they decided to go public and had confessed their love for each other. On February 27, 2018, the duo had tied the knot with each other in a nikah ceremony.
Dipika and Shoaib never shy away from flaunting their love for each other and their respective social media handles are filled with their oh-so-lovely pictures. On March 18, 2020, Dipika took to her Instagram handle and shared how she and her hubby, Shoaib are making the best use of the COVID-19 quarantine period. She shared two adorable pictures with Shoaib giving us a glimpse of expectations v/s reality. On February 22, 2020, Dipika and Shoaib had celebrated their second wedding anniversary. They had begun their anniversary by cutting a cake with Shoaib’s family. It was Shoaib’s emotional note which had melted our hearts. Shoaib had taken to his Instagram handle and had shared beautiful pictures with Dipika. Along with the pictures, he had written, “May Allah blesses us with happiness & peace like He has always done, and a long life of togetherness. Baaki ye to tum jaanti hi ho that I Love You bahut zyadaaaa... #happyanniversary.”
In a 2018 interview with SpotboyE, Dipika Kakar was asked about family planning and babies. To which, she had replied, “It is so funny this Mother's Day I wished so many ladies and at least 90% of them have replied, ‘Waiting for you to join (laughs).’ I was like, ‘Excuse me, I just got married.’ But seriously for family planning, there is time… at least a year to go.” When probed if she is fine putting her career on hold for the baby, she had stated, “Why not? I am a complete home person.
